I received a generous deluxe mini of this from the Elizabeth Arden counter when it first launched. The idea is to apply this prior to your usual serum and moisturiser. I'm a fan of the Korean skincare routines so layering products isn't new to me.
Firstly, the product itself. It is a clear gel with the consistency of a serum and has a very pleasant, slightly fruity, floral fragrance. It's applies easily, leaving the skin feeling moisturised and sits on top of the skin. Agreed, this does mean you use less of the products you apply over it, but this is my experience of any products I have layered.
This is a really lovely product but I just really don't get the point of it. The whole concept of an expensive booster to improve the efficacy of the rest of your regime is lost on me. Shouldn't they all just do what they say anyway? I would be more convinced if this was marketed as a serum in its own right albeit a pricey one. At this price point I would not purchase again.
The bottle is a nice its silver/grey with a near clear bottom one it, a flat oblong shape, this has a pump on the top with no lid there's a we slide thing at the back of the bottle to unlock the pump slide it to the right and it's good to pump a bit of this out, it's easy to use. This goes on before anything else so I cleanse tone then smooth this on then follow with a serum or moisturiser etc.
Wow my skin care routine is getting up there, this can be used with any other make of skin care range so I was told. This is meant to increase the effectiveness of other serums especially in the same range.
So one pump is enough of this ever so lightly pearlised coloured superboost, I can detect a very faint bitter clean fragrance. I find it's not sticky or oily more like a runny gel, so morning and night religiously I use this, one pump is all I need to do my face and neck, this just glides over my face feeling cooling as It goes on. I avoid the eye area as it states then apply my serums etc. when I use this it is like my skin is waiting for the next product to go on. I follow on with serum then cream.
Well I must admit it's quickly absorbed into my skin, I like the results I'm getting from using this pretty much from the first use I could feel my skin improving leaving it feeling balanced a little brighter a little more refined in texture. From the very first application I was hooked so I'm finding this is definitely worth the money.
Tips: It does work wonders with other serums in the same range.
