Lovely but a bit pricey

When I saw this in the vault sneak preview, it went straight to the top of my wish list! I’ve tried the original ceramide capsules so I was intrigued to see what the vitamin c ones would be like. I’ve tried a few other brands’ vitamin c products with varying results. Bare in mind, I use it more for its protective qualities rather than for getting rid of pigmentation- I actually quite like my freckles!

First of all the little capsules themselves. These are great for travel as you only have to take what you need. However I do think there is way more product in each capsule for just one use, even using the extra on your neck and décolletage as instructed. It is also an expensive product, as used as directed, the bottle would only last you one month max, if used once a day. So, I keep the capsule with any left overs in it, in a little repurposed sample pot.

The product itself is a nice luxurious oil which thankfully doesn’t have the weird smell some vitamin c products do. I apply it after cleansing in the morning which helps my skin glow. I have noticed some fading of my freckles (until I get caught by the sun again!). I’m glad I’ve had the chance to try these (thanks BR!) but I don’t think I would buy these due to the price. There are other nice vitamin c products available that are more affordable.

You’re welcome! I now get two uses out of the capsules doing it this way.

Great tip repurposing the sample pot to use left overs next time - I'm going to start doing that with mine! Thank you!

Provides Results, Fiddly Packaging

Picked this up in the vault last year. A luxe product to m, I admit I wanted to see if it was as good as the rrp value.

Cute plastic container houses the gold ampoules. They are so tiny and I have chubby fingers so find these a bit difficult to handle. I tend to drop them when handling.

In order to get the oil you need to twist the tab. Once opened (I assume from the pressure used to open it) quite a bit dispenses onto the ampoule and my fingers. Also for me 1 ampoule lasts 1.5 applications. In order to save the remainder of the product from next use I have to place if carefully in an upright position. Even then, it doesn't have flat edges so it knocks over and spills easily.

The product in the face feels nice. As for results my skin is noticeably brighter and looks smoother. I feel like t could have been designed better in order to prevent product waste. The ampoule is unnecessarily boujee. None the less this does provide results.

This is way out of my price range so there is no way I will be repurchasing. Would make a lovely great purchase for yourself or someone else though.

I didn't pay for it so it doesn't bother. Will be finished with them by the end of the week.

Hey just to let you know that with the Elizabeth Arden capsules, you need to use the entire serum at once. Trying to save some for another use is just a waste of money as the ingredients lose their potency. Source: I used to work for EA :)

Doesn't sting a skin

This is a lovely product but I think it's over PR-ed and overpriced. You need to be careful opening the capsules because you can spill the liquid. It is hardly enough to cover the face but I like that it doesn't sting the face like other C products. It absorbs well and good for skin tone but I won't say I saw any wow results.

love, Love, LOVE

This is definitely a luxury item, but in a few short days of using this product I noticed results. My skin was definitely brighter, looked a little more even in skin tone, and my wrinkles looked a little more subtle. I'm now 3 weeks into use, and I think if I'd done a before/after I'd see a difference. It's a generous amount of product in the capsule so I use it over 2 days.

I use the Great 8, 8 hour daily defence moisturiser over this, and they work really well together. My skin stays hydrated all day and I've noticed better hydration overall since introducing it to my regime.

I'm tempted to try other products now - especially their retinol captules for night time.

Yes it's pricey, but with the right 'gift with purchase' and the results I've seen I think it's a worthy purchase, and a good performer for a skin regime, if you can afford it - particularly in my age bracket - the over 40's

Tips: I use a capsule over 2 days, thanks to the tip by another reviewer to pop the capsule in a sample container to preserve the product for the next day

WOW

I picked these up in the vault, and to be honest I wish I never had, because they work too well and now I'm going to have to go broke buying them again. And again. And again.

They come in a plastic container in the usual Arden style - and the product is in capsules. (I do wonder about the capsules... do they break down? If they end up in the sea will the animals be okay? Is there a chance the serum could be bottled rather than capsuled?) You twist the capsule to open and then squeeze out the product.

I find I can get two applications out of one capsule - so there's a saving (justification) if you buy it right there. I don't use it on my decolletage as suggested, just my face and the difference it's made is HUGE.

My skin looks brighter, smoother, fresher - more youthful. I've tried a lot of serums and this beats them all hands down. I've genuinely shocked at how good this product is.

Recommend thoroughly - but don't try unless you're prepared to buy buy buy, because this serum is addictive.
