This product works well, it’s not often you can find blonde tone correcting shampoo and conditioner, let alone from the supermarket. First I noticed that this product was very blue look to the product, different to the normal shampoo which is purple. This seems to make hair not as grey, which I enjoy as often my hair gets a dark tinge when I use it often. The product smells pleasant and you need only a small amount at a time. I would recommend this to be used weekly to keep brassy tones at bay.

Tips: But both the shampoo and conditioner, I feel that it the shampoo works well but the conditioner adds that extra moisture that you need.
I really enjoyed using this product. The packaging is clean and clear with a easy to read text. I found that I needed a lot of the shampoo to wash my hair thoroughly and it does not lather very well. I have below shoulder length hair and needed 7+ pumps. My hands were also died purple after applying to my hair - was very alarming initially, but this did wash away by the time I had finished my shower. Once I had rinsed out the shampoo I believe my hair was very clean, possibly on the dry side so I was very thankful to have the Essano Blonde Tone Correcting Conditioner to try also. I used the Essano Blonde Tone-Correcting Purple Shampoo and conditioner each time for best results. Definitely from using both the Essano Blonde Tone-Correcting products I have noticed that my highlighted hair is less brassy and more golden looking. I will continue to use these 2 products to help maintain my colour.
As a blonde who always gets brassy tones, purple shampoo is a must. I've tried a couple of different ones and found one that worked well but it was definitely at the higher end of the price scale. Essano's purple shampoo is amazing! I wasn't expecting too much but it worked the same if not better than my expensive one! Definitely recommend.
Tips: Use it with the matching conditioner for great results!
Defiantly a yay from me. My only concern is my local supermarket doesn’t always have this available so I haven’t been able to regularly use it :(
Doesn’t dry my hair out like some do and it defiantly works to neutralise those brassy tones. Good smell and a little goes a long way!
Tips: Apply to dry hair for a more effective result
I love purple shampoos to tone down the 'ginger' in my brunette hair... Especially in summer, the yellows/oranges really push through as my hair lightens. I love a purple shampoo just to tone that all down a little.
I liked that this shampoo came in a pump bottle, and that the shampoo itself was an intense purple, that looked like it would do a great job injecting a little purple tone. The shampoo itself did a great job toning down my yellow/ginger, but my hair was left feeling soooo dry. The more I used the shampoo, the drier my hair became. The conditioner went some way to restore the soft feel of my hair, but the condition of my hair with use was drier and duller looking than would be normal for my hair. Having fine curly hair, that created problems with styling and I needed to use a hair mask a few times a week to restore some moisture....
It definitely tones down brassiness, but it comes at a price that my hair wasn't happy with. It now sits in my cupboard because I hate to waste product, but I'm also not really game for frizzy dry dull looking hair either...
Was concerned about my brassy tones as l do spend quite a lot of time outside , on the farm, I have used this and found it just as good as an expensive one that was three times the price , so good value for money really. I used it once a week , as l know purple shampoos can dry your hair, it is good to use a once a week mask for your hair and their conditioner as well this helps maintain nice shiny locks !
i love this shampoo, I use it everyday and it makes my hair so shiny. It definitely makes the blonde in my hair more vibrant and my hair is very health because of it. definitely recommend it
Tips: leave in hair for 3 minutes
I was lucky enough to get this in the vault. I was very excited to try it out. The cosistaincy is a runny dark purple and it comes in a very nice round bottle with a dispenser.
This shampoo doesent make any bubbles and it didnt feel like it cleand my hair coz of no bubbles. I didnt loke the smell and i didnt like the way it made my hair feel it male it feel dryish. My sculpt was very very itchy after using it but as soon as i put keratin in amd dried it, it was feeling better.
After drying mu hair and styling it did look fabulous. The blond was very nice and blond no rusty coloirs left behing. But this is more like a colour enhancer than a shampoo for me.
I disnt like this shampoo even thou it did make my hair look great i doubt that i wil repurchase thiz.
I got this by mistake in a vault (I ordered the conditioner and was sent the shampoo, then when they sent the actual conditioner I was allowed to keep this), and decided to try it anyway.
The packaging is actually good - I love a pump action shampoo - and vividly purple. The product is also a super bright purple of mid-thickness, slightly on the runnier side.
My hair is naturally white, but has dark lengths; I'm growing out dye. Therefore i'm mostly focusing on trying to make the white pop atm.
While this does help keep the white hair bright, it's incredibly drying, and has an unpleasant herbal scent I don't like at all.
I've discontinued use for now - will probably end up an 'occasionally in case of emergencies' bottle.
Worth a try, does not work for me.
Let me start by telling you a bit about my hair. I've been dyeing it various shades of dark brown since I started going grey at 16.....thats decades of dye; every 2 weeks. I finally decided to embrace the grey and started the process, by going blonde. 12+ hours later, I was blonde but also left with very damaged and porous hair. Of course this hair would like nothing better than be various shades of brassy, warm yellow. I was excited to try the Essano tone correcting range as my first maintenance purple shampoo.
I love that the range is plant based , cruelty free with recycled packaging. The products smells delicious. The shampoo itself is very pigmented and upon the rinsing out the 1st shampoo, the pigment had stained the more damaged parts of my hair a light lilac tint but this mostly came out when I 2nd shampooed with my usual product. It did tone down the brassy and made my natural grey/silver a fantastic platinum. There were a couple of patches that didn't tone correct as well but that may have been due to my salon toner washing out more than anything.
With further usage I found using half Essano and half my normal shampoo worked the best. Coupled with the conditioner they are very good products for correcting warm tones. I suspect this bottle will also last me a long time.
I will continue to use this product and for a first timer I am very impressed
Tips: dilute the potency of the purple pigment with your normal shampoo if you have extremely damaged and porous hair to avoid a residual lilac tone.
