After reading so many awesome reviews about the Essano Rosehip Intensive Hydrating Body Lotion I was super excited to try this product out! Unfortunately it massively fell short of my expectations. I found the lotion to be way too thin to do any real moisturising, which is weird since the product name includes the word 'Intensive'. I didn't find anything about this intensive at all! After switching to this lotion my hands actually started drying out to the point where they got kinda chapped, and I had to switch back to my good old Body Shop Body Butter. So unfortunately despite the cute packaging and awesome brand philosophy this lotion just did not cut it for me.

I was told by a surgeon to use this on my scars after surgery to keep the skin moisturised. She said it was good quality and affordable. I found it didn't absorb well and wasn't creamy but felt thin. I couldn't see any beneficial effect, but I did like the citrus scent. Unfortunately it felt like a cheap product so I can't recommend it.
I got this moisturiser in the sample sized Essano pack, and was excited to try it as I've liked a few of the other products. However this product was a massive let down, purely because it smelt terrible!! Unlike other products in their range the scent is sickly sweet, and incredibly overpowering. After the first use I couldnt fathom using it anywhere but my feet (which I then cover with socks), and washing my hands afterwards, as the smell lingers for ages on them too. In terms of its actual moisturising qualities, its hard for me to comment but it has helped my feet a bit.
If I wasn't so stingy I would have throw this away, and I will probably pass onto someone else rather than use it, as someone else might be able to stand it Overall will definitely not be buying this one again.
I bought a sample set of Essano Rosehip products, and adored everything else in the set. This, for me, was the bad apple.
To spin the positives, I love the soft pink girly packaging, the concept of rosehip in a lotion, and the lotion itself in terms of it being lightweight, easily absorbed and hydrating.
However, the lotion is scented in such a way that it is very fake, powdery, and sweet. Although it is a nice light lotion, this scent clings to your skin and is a little cloying. It's not at all pleasant to me.
I also don't think that the lotion delivers as promised on 'deep moisturisation' and intense hydration'- for me it's light and refreshing in feel, but let down by the scent. I would be disappointed if I'd bought this expecting it to be a heavy duty moisturiser - and I'd be disappointed if I bought it with the expectation that Essano had created an awesome addition to their rosehip collection. As much as I love the rest, I fear they have missed the mark with this one.
This was part of the trial pack I purchased from Countdown. As soon as I used it, I knew I wouldn't be purchasing the full sized version, as the smell was just too off-putting for me. It's a very overpowering fragrance, not unpleasant, I was expecting a lovely rosey scent, this would definitely clash with any perfume worn at the same time. As far as moisturising goes, it sinks well into the skin & does a good job of hydrating the body. The price is very cost-effective too.
I prefer an intensivery hydration cream Thai cream has a lovely scent & even better pacakging but it wasn't hydrating enough to pemirate my alight or skin. I'd repurchase aging if it was on spevial & I had no moisturizer. I picked this up from the supermarket & thought for the price & the volume it'd be a win win .I'd really wanted to love this product. It comes in a dark brown almost organic looking bottle that's plastic with a good pump the size is also appealing giving it a good lifespan I anyone's regime. The product itself has the scent any person would love the cream is thin so thin it doesn't do much for my dry skin. It's absorbant but once it's settled into my skin Im left still dry & ashy on my joints hopefully I'm the only one that's experienced this result. Sotry for the review but this isn't a winner for me.
Like the facial wash.. it comes in a nice cute pink pump bottle. The initial sweet scent for some reason reminded me of prunes? Or haw fruit? It took me a while to get use to this unique scent.. so i tend to use it just before bed.
It had a little sticky feeling at first when applied.. but was fairly quickly absorbed by the skin.. which makes it a nice thin moisturiser for those who’s looking for something nutritious for their skin but on the lighter end. So if you’re looking for something richer for dry skin, this product may not be for you.
I personally prefer a more smoothing body lotion.. so it wasn’t quite my cup of tea. However, it could be a great summer moisturiser.. when it’s so hot that you don’t want to put something too thick on your skin.
This moisturiser is good but not for dry skin I reckon. My skin is pretty dry and it felt tight on my face after I use it. Usually, i prefer moisturisers that don't feel this way on the skin. Comparing this to other moisturisers I feel that other ones last longer and hydrate the skin longer and better than this one. It was given to me as a gift so I have used it sometimes but wouldn't purchase again. If you have oily skin maybe this would be a good one because it's not too hydrating. Smells nice and cute packaging tho
I have been using this for a little over a month and I'm not that enthused about it. The use of all the oils and being a NZ made product attracted me and I was so excited about using this product. I felt this product wasn't as moisturising on me as I had hoped. I found it quite drying. I've now started to mix this with a couple drops of Argan Oil to really get that moisturised feeling. The scent is heavenly! Since this is a NZ made product, I will continue buying this however, I'll continue to mix this with my essential oils.
Tips: Support NZ made!
I purchased this the other day but have not been wowed by the product. My boyfriend hates the smell and says that it reminds him of the dentist - Which I can see why. The texture is ok, rubs in well. I think that is is an ok body lotion however I didn't think that it was anything overly special.
