I really enjoyed the scent of this toner and it felt nice on the skin but i have used it for over a year and cant really tell if its actually toning my skin. I like using it as its organic and thats why ive continued to use it even though im unsure if it does anything. It is affordable and the packaging is nice.

This toner made me break out :( I have combination, sensitive skin and I was excited to give this a go. Applying it, it did feel refreshing. However it did nothing to help my skin and instead made it worse. Aside from giving me pimples, right after I applied it my skin went red. I passed it on to a friend (who normally has near perfect skin) and a couple of days later noticed she had a big zit :( Perhaps it was just a coincidence, but I should have just thrown it away.
Tips: Save your money
this toner did shrink the pores and hydrate skin after washing face ,my skin felt so soft ,but did not relise any effect of reducing the blemishes or controlling the oil .
I was excited by the easy use of a spray toner and found it a nice an refreshing feeling to use and easy when in a rush. However I found my skin didn't love this toner and it created an oily appearance after a short amount of time and my sensitive skin developed a irritated feeling. This is a personal experience and hopefully one that other people would not have.
I have only used a couple of toners in the past, and I haven't had good experiences with them. I thought that this toner would dry out my skin and make it feel really tight, but it didn't.
I really liked how this toner is in a spray bottle because it's way easier (and more eco friendly) than using cotton pads every day. It's really easy to use and doesn't dry out my skin whatsoever.
The only thing I don't like about this toner is the smell. It's not horrible, it's just weird and I can't put my finger on what it actually smells like. Although it doesn't linger and you can only smell it when you spray it, so that's a bonus.
Because I have been using these products as a system, I can't actually tell which product is doing what for my skin. However because this product contains witch hazel and chamomile, I would assume this product plays a big part in why my skin has cleared up so much while using this system. I will definitely keep using this product because it's so easy, and it's worth continuing to use it just because of the convenience.
Tips: Spray your face a couple of times morning and night after cleansing and before moisturising.
I have to admit I was sceptical and wasn’t expecting much after the last ( which was also the first I admit) mist toner I purchased. But I really feel despite its slightly dull packaging I love it! I really feel it makes my skin feel and look better! It has a light but refreshing scent and I think my skin just appears a little more Matt and pores less giant after I apply this. I really only bought it to spritz in the heat but I will definitely continue to purchase!
Tips: Best to hold a little further from face than normal for a light and even spray as over application might feel a little tacky and gluey
I have naturally oily skin with quite clogged pores, so I brought this toner to help close my pores after cleansing. The toner comes in a beautiful pink, white, and silver spray bottle. I loved the idea of a mist toner, as this would save time rather than a classic toner you have to apply with a cotton pad, but the packaging made this mist toner inefficient. I found the toner did not spray in a mist, and rather in big chunky uneven droplets (perhaps my packaging was fault though), which made this awkward to use, especially as you are to close your eyes when you use this but because of the large droplets, a lot of would often fall on my eyelashes and sting my eyes. This doesn't smell too bad for a toner, there's no overpowering alcohol smell which is a plus. I found this made my acne problems far worse. Whereas before my skin was oily, this made it overwhelmingly dry, and scabby. I often felt a sticky feeling after using this and it would take a really long time to dry, and when it did my skin would be feeling ridiculously dehydrated. In addition, this didn't really do anything for me a toner is supposed to do or even close up my pores. I think this just wasn't a fit for my skin type and I won't purchase this again.
Before we start I must confess, I'm super lazy with toners. Most of the time since I'm using vitamin C serum anyway, I don't really bother with toner anymore. But when trialling this range, I was very diligent and forced myself to use this before putting on the serum.
Complaint no.1: the spray bottle. Imagine a wonderful mist that spreads lightly and evenly over your face. This is not it. This squirts out like a water gun and I end up with one circle on my face that's dripping and everywhere else is just dry. I don't know if I just got a crappy nozzle or if this is a common problem, but this pissed me off a lot. In the end I decanted some into another spray bottle I had that actually misted it.
Complaint no.2: the smell. The closest smell to this is probably a hospital disinfectant or some sort of window cleaner. The smell is absolutely horrid. None of the ingredients look like they'd be so pungent but there's just something about this smell that's almost unbearable. I suppose I must forgive Essano for not putting fragrances in this since it's anti acne, but surely there's a way to reduce this horrid smell?
Grumbling aside, this toner does really do the job! For me, a toner should make application of the following steps easier, and facilitate the products absorbing into skin. This ticks both boxes fantastically. I tried two days where I used the toner before serum and two days without the toner. And I found that with the toner, the serum and the moisturiser absorbed into my skin faster, leaving it feeling non-oily and ready for makeup or sunscreen.
The smell is something I can get used to I guess, and I do really like how it helps my skin absorb serum and moisturiser. The price isn't too bad either, especially considering it's 'certified organic'.
I've never owned a toner before, and never really included using a toner in my skincare routine. I wasn't quite sure how to use it and what it does and I had nothing to compare it to. I used it before putting my makeup on, and after using moisturiser and cleanser.
I loved the smell of it, and it was really refreshing using this on my face. I also got really badly sunburnt on my shoulders and it helped take away the stinging of my sunburn (I don't know why and I don't think that's what it's meant for at all, but it worked for me haha!)
I probably wouldn't purchase again, just for the fact of me never using toner, but will continue to use this along with the rest of the set, as I noticed positive results while using this whole set! My skin feels and looks a lot smoother and less red!!
Tips: Apply before makeup
