I purchased this face mask on a whim while buying essential goodies at the supermarket. It was on special for $4 which definitely helped.
I do like the gold on the packaging, typical for the Essano collagen range. The single sachet is nice if you just want to give it a try. I would quite like to be able to buy multi packs for sheet masks instead of single serves.
Right - let's get to the good stuff! The packet was easy to open with clear instructions on the back. The sheet mask itself was an odd shape I found. The eye holes are quite thin but wide to target the under eye area. I found that the forehead space was quite large and I had to fold it so it didn't get all through my hair.
The sheet mask was all in one piece - there were no slits in the sides to be able to fold them neatly to fit your face but I didn't find that a problem as I just folded it myself.
The smell is quite mild and doesn't overpower the senses and it is almost a milky smell. Not unpleasant but not delicious.
There is quite a lot of the collagen serum leftover in the packet when you take the sheet mask out. You could use this as another serum treatment later on or apply the extra serum to the mask on your face to help it soak in. You definitely don't get shortchanged on the serum.
I left the mask on for 20 minutes to get a really good soak. After taking the mask off my skin did feel a bit tacky for about 20 minutes or so. My skin definitely looked brighter, fresher and healthier after using this. I didn't notice much difference in my under eye area but the fine lines on my forehead were less noticeable.
When I woke up in the morning the next day (I used this before bed after cleansing and used no other creams or serums) my skin was still fresh and bright.
It also didn't cause me to break out - win!
I love all the Essano masks and this one wasn’t any different. I found it hydrating and left my skin soft and glowy the day after. There is always lots of leftover serum and I like to use it on my neck and the backs of my hands.
