My skin is fairly normal, with a tendency towards drier patches around my nose and chin, and some redness around my nose/general uneven skintone.
This is the first time I've used rosehip oil, and I'm a total convert! I purchased this in the Essano trial pack, and have just run out (the trial size bottle lasted me about 5 weeks, using it once per day).
The packing is great, particularly the dropper, preventing wasting or spilling the oil, plus it looks very cue with the muted brown/pink colour scheme!
The actual oil is lightweight, and a little goes a long way: 3 drops is enough for my whole face. It absorbs quickly, and leaves my skin feeling hydrated and soft. I've been using it at night and following up with the matching Essano night cream, but even on its own it provides enough moisture.
I found the smell a bit surprising - it's not a particularly "rose" scent, like the moisturiser and facewash in this range, but rather has almost a nutty oil smell. It's quite subtle and fades quickly after being applied, so it doesn't bother me.
In terms of effects, this has been amazing. My skin tone has been evening out slowly but surely, and even a bit of spot scarring I have has been reduced slightly. It hasn't transformed my skin instantly, but it definitely has been helping and I have seen an improvement! The best part for me has been the disappearance of dry patches. Now when I apply makeup it doesn't cake or flake around those areas (you ladies with dry skin will know what I mean!). It really does leave my skin looking happy! I also feel like I have had fewer breakouts since using this.
I will definitely be repurchasing rosehip oil, and quite possibly this brand, given that it is relatively inexpensive and easy to find. (I am about to try a Trilogy sample though, so we will have to see). But overall, I love this and would highly recommend!
After seeing people rave about the Essano range i decided to go pick some up myself, they are reasonably priced at countdown for around $18-$20.
The rosehip oil is amaze!! its a thick consistency for a oil and super hydrating on the skin, and it does as it claims. After having a baby 3 months ago i have some slight stretch marks on my tummy, i had been using the essano rosehip oil on them and they are practically gone now!
will most likly be repurchasing this when my bottle runs out, & recommending to friends/family
Tips: a little oil goes a loooong way
