I am unashamedly in love with Essano products. There, I said it. Despite this being a supermarket product, it makes me feel like a million bucks. First off, the dusty pink packaging has an upmarket feel. For someone (me) looking to use more natural products, this range is a godsend. You will notice on reading the label that it's made in NZ and contains no nasties. The smell is lightly rosey (nothing overpowering here), the exfoliating beads are tiny and not particularly abrasive, however you will definitely notice that your face is smoother afterwards (just ask my husband - he pinches my scrub when his face is dry!) I absolutely love this product, so much so that in a recent discount promo I bought 3 tubes! Long live Essano!

Tips: Gentle enough for daily use
In an easy to use tube, allowing you to only use what you need not to waste any. The cream was a thickish, brown colour with beads. I found the smell over powering to start with but as I start to apply to my face and neck it became pleasant. A small amount about the size of a 10 cent coin was more then enough and applying was simple. I felt the beads quite ruff to start with but got use to it fast. While my skin felt smooth and looked more fresh to start with, after a few days it felt dry and i broke out quite dramatically. Which I found disappointing. However I will continue to use until finished to see if my skill settles with the product. over all average to above average
Tips: A little goes along way.
When I review I try to always keep an open mind but unfortunately I am one of these visual people so the packaging and presenation of a product is important to me and usually my first impression is the lasting one. In this case I was pretty underwhelmed, the packaging didn't appeal (I'm more classical and than whimsical) and when I tried the product on my hand, the texture and smell was also unappealing. I feel a bit Meh about this product I didn't think it was a great exfoliator and it left me skin feeling clean but not feeling fabulous - I think I prefer more intense exfoliators and my age maybe the issue so to be fair I gave it to my 18 year old neice to try and get her thoughts and sure enough her review was quite different - she loved the look of the product, thought the smell and texture was awesome and really felt like her skin had been exfoliated - she is a fan. So while this product was not to my 46 year old taste it did appeal to a market (18 years old) that i think is more motivated by price and pretty packaging.
I really love the packaging and scent of this product. It's got a bit of a vintage vibe and it makes me feel a bit nostalgic for an era of time of wasn't even alive in! I quite disliked rose scented products when I was younger; they reminded me of old women, but now I think of it as more timeless than aging! The product itself was lovely to use and left my skin feeling clean and soft. The skin on my face can be a bit sensitive to exfoliators, but this one was gentle and didn't leave any redness at all.
Tips: You only need a small amount, so don't go over board! :)
Essano has quickly become one of my favourite brands. I love the focus on the natural ingredients and the fact its a great New Zealand company, with such affordable products.
I already have the cleanser, moisturiser, night cream and oil in my collection, so when I saw this at the supermarket it was time to add another product to my collection.
Firstly, the packaging is lovely. So feminine and with a very cute, 60s glamour look. It's in my favourite colour, pink, and like all the other Essano products it just looks stunning and glamorous. By looking at it you would think it's a high end product, when its extremely affordable. I love I can just purchase this at the supermarket, with my grocery shop.
My skin can be dry, combination and reactive, so I look for my skincare to be as natural as possible - without some nasties that are in other products. This Essano product, like the other products in the range are perfect and so gentle for my skin.
The formula is a browny colour, with small granules within the formula. I use this a couple of times a week. I wet my face and massage a small amount over my face, it feels refreshing and is o gentle to slough away the dead skin. No stinging or tight feeling like you can get with other exfoliators. I feel this helps to even out my skin tone and makes my skin feel brighter.
This is another winner from Essano, and just like it says it is, it's a gentle exfoliator that delivers what it says. Such an affordable product, that is of high quality like the rest of the products in the Essano range. Thanks Essano.
Tips: If you love Essano products, add this to your collection.
This is by far the best exfoliater I've used, and its so cheap! It's so gentle on your skin and leaves your face feeling fresh and clean. My fiance also uses it daily and it has cleared up the issues he's had with his skin.
I brought this at the same time as buying a large bottle of their Rosehip body lotion and a bottle of the Rosehip Oil and to be perfectly honest I don't really care for either of the first two products and I haven’t come to a conclusion about the third.
I have noticed that they seem to have a kind of artificial scent, not like you would expect from a natural organic product but maybe that’s just personal preference.
I also find it doesn't have enough of the exfoliating granules to do the job well although I must say the skin does feel soft after use. I just prefer exfoliators that are a bit more effective than this one in that respect but maybe I need to use more of the product than I have been.
I purchased it from the supermarket and was impressed with the price though. For an organic brand they are very competitively priced and easy to source as they are down at the local Countdown. I was tempted to buy the cleanser but went for a different brand instead.
Tips: I would try the little travel size kit first before buying the normal size of this just so you know whether you are comfortable with the scent and find it has enough granules to really clean the skin.
I have psoriasis so ex-foliating is really important for me so I can remove the dry skin from my face. I have tried other exfoliators, but they were often too harsh and stripped my skin of too much moisture. This one by Essano is great. I tried their moisturisers first ( I was attracted by the fact that they contained rosehip oil) and when they were good for myy skin I decided to use the exfoliator as well. It has been working really well for me, helping to remove my dry, scaly skin, and I do not find that it irritates my skin or dries it out too much.
Tips: My skin is normally very dry. I use this twice a week.
This scrub is what I've been trying to find for quite some time, gentle enough for everyday use, but still polishes away dead skin and cleans it making my face feel fresh and new.
The packaging for this little beaut it definitely what drew me in, in the first place gorgeous rosy pink, with gold detailing, very pleasing to the eye and looks great in the bathroom! Easy clip shut lid which is a must for travelling. A generous 100ml size which lasts me about 3-5 months depending on the time of year.
I tend to use this product after I have removed my make up and cleansed my face, in the evening. Totally revives my skin and leaves it feeling fresh and clean with no tight feeling whatsoever. Its a thin cream style consistency with small natural exfoliating particles and grains. It is creamy enough to use it like a cleanser. Which is great for my dry sensitive skin. The smell won't be everyones taste its a sweet floral scent that does linger, I enjoy it, it relaxes me after I use it.
I found the price $14.99 is quite fair for a supermarket brand but it regularly comes on special, also it comes in a pack of four other products from the Rosehip Essano collection so you get the chance to trial it out before you buy the full size, awesome marketing!
I would highly recommend this to my dry and sensitive girls, I can easily use this on a daily basis to polish my skin and without it being too rough which I'm really pleased about.
Tips: Gentle enough for everyday use, 50 cent piece worth will do entire face and neck.
I love love love this product, First off, I love the girly packaging and it smells super yummy. When using it you only need a really small amount to do entire face and neck and it feels amazing on my skin. The first time I used it my skin felt really dry but after I used it again I was hooked. My face has not felt this soft in years. I love it and have been using it every night. I will never use another exfoliator on my face again, I'm hooked
Tips: Don't use a lot as a little goes a long way
