This is the first night cream that I have tried. After reading all this hype about how good rosehip oil is for your skin I came across this moisturiser while shopping at countdown and thought why not give it a go! as soon as I put it on my skin it instantly felt hydrated and looked better, it soaked into my skin right away and I woke up still feeling hydrated which was a bonus! I recently purchased a different night cream called "renew" (i think) from new world and I don't like it at all, it reacted with the skin on my eyes making them puffy and itchy I wish I brought the essano night cream again instead of experimenting with another one!

After seeing many great reviews about the whole Essano range I bought into the hype and purchased The Essano kit which included the night crème , a rosehip oil , body lotion , face wash & moisturiser.
I love the night crème , it is a rich thick consistency that sinks into your skin without any sticky residue left behind. It made my skin feel super soft and moisturized from night to morning. The scent also is lovely throughout the whole range , which is always a bonus. It is the first night crème I've tried and will continue to use it
I am running out and will definitely be getting some more . I am so glad I tried this :)
I seem to be picking up quite a few products at the supermarket lately! It is so cool that there are so many quality goodies that can be picked up there. The thing I was really after this time was a new night cream. So when I saw the Essano Treat Your Skin Pack Rosehip was on special for $17.50 it seemed like the perfect chance to try a new night cream and a few other products too. My skin is quite dry, and sometimes sensitive so I really like trying products in this way so you have time to see if you like it before splashing out on the bigger sizes. I can't comment on the packaging for this as I had a sample rather than a full size (although it was really nice).
The night cream was what I really wanted to test out of this pack so I was really excited to use it. I love that even in the smaller size it comes in a nice glass jar. I'm impressed that for the full sized product 50g is only $19.99! I was practically willing myself to love this product for that price. I found the product to have a slight florally scent to it, but nothing obvious which I really like as I can be really picky. The cream is a bit thicker than your usual cream, perfect for night time. The cream seemed to melt into my skin and although it sat on my skin for a few minutes after a while it sunk in and left my skin feeling great. It taking a while to sink in might be caused by the use of the rosehip oil first. I woke up in the morning with incredibly soft moisturised skin. The first time that I used this I found that it gave a warming sort of sensation to my skin, I was a bit worried it might have been reacting but I haven't had that since.
The price of the full size of this product is amazing! I won't hesitate to pick this up once I have finished all my other moisturisers. And with it being a vegan product too it just makes it even better!!!
This range is an excellent opportunity for those who want to get into rosehip oil products but can't afford the price tag associated with many other rosehip oil brands.
The night cream is a good consistency - especially if, like me, you find Trilogy products too rich for your skin. It absorbs into the skin easily and doesn't leave the nasty artificial fragrance some Essano products are guilty of. After use my combination/sensitive skin feels calm, smooth and hydrated - never oily. On the flip side, if you require a very heavy night cream, this may not be enough. However layering with the Essano rosehip oil would probably be successful for drier skin.
Essano is stocked by Countdown, so it is easy to get hold of these products. It also means you are paying supermarket prices, instead of pharmacy prices (always a little bit ouch!).
If, like me, the presentation of your products matters (as much as you know it shouldn't!), you will appreciate the fact Essano night cream comes in a glass jar. Nothing feels quite as luxurious as beauty products in glass jars!
Perhaps my only concern is that being a cheaper brand, I do wonder how much rosehip oil the products contain. Ideally they would come with an ingredients list like food products - rosehip oil 4%, etc.
This is a product I highly recommend if you are looking for a lighter, non-greasy night cream. The bonus is, at supermarket prices you can afford to try it and give it to your mum if you don't like it. ;)
Tips: Check out (almost) the whole range in one go with the very reasonably-priced sample pack, in perfect gym bag sizes!
I got to try the sample of this. It was great, its a very thick consistency-as you would expect from a night cream. It soaked in pretty quickly and does not leave your skin feeling like it has a film on it-it definitely left my skin feeling soft and still felt the same in the morning
I was really happy with my Essano gentle facial moisturiser so I wanted to love this product as well but it was just too much for me. I realise night creams are supposed to be thicker than usual but this just didn't soak in at all. I'd feel greasy before bed and look like a hot mess in the morning. Even after cleansing, my skin just didnt look right. Would 100% recommend the other facial moisturiser but this one was not that great on me.
This night cream was in a wedding show goody bag and I'm so happy with it after only a few days of use that I've headed straight to Countdown to buy the other products. My cheeks have a few tell tale scars of puberty as well as general age spots from a not so great beauty regime in my younger days :-/ But after 3 days of using the Essano Rosehip night creme, the redness and marks are starting to fade. I'm stoked!
This night cream comes in a little pot with a screw top and the same branding as other products in the range.
It is a moderately thick white cream. I prefer something thicker in a moisturiser, and particularly in a night cream, however as this contains Rosehip Oil, Jojoba Oil and Shea Butter, I figured it would be an awesome moisturiser. And it is!
It glides onto the skin very easily and absorbs very quickly. Once absorbed, it left my usually dry skin feeling silky smooth and hydrated. It is a very gentle fragrance that didn’t overpower me when I lay down. I am noticing how nice my skin is feeling after religiously using the range of products together, but what it noticeable is waking up in the morning with my skin feeling soft instead of rough, as it would normally feel.
At $20 per pot it is a very good price for a lovely night cream and I highly recommend it for others to try, especially for those who have dry mature skin like mine.
Tips: Essano products are well discounted throughout Countdown's May beauty sale - a great opportunity to buy and try these exquisite products!!
I have the miniature sized version of this night cream. This is quite generous sized, with enough product to last about two weeks for me. It is rich, but not gluggy at all. It seems to blend into my skin really nicely and without requiring a huge dollop of product. It has a light floral scent, and doesn't leave my skin feeling heavy after application. I have been using this night cream in conjunction with the rosehip oil so it is difficult to separate the effects on my skin- whether it is due to the combination of these products or one or the other. Either way my skin the next day looks 10x better when I have made an effort to use these the night before. I have some quite stubborn forehead wrinkles, and these appear much more plump and smooth. I am a massive fan and will repurchase this as soon as I have used the night cream I currently have.
I'm relatively new to night cream, but will go back and purchase this to continue the experiment..
I received this product as one of 5 products in a generously sized Essano trial kit for this rosehip range. Like the full sized version, the night cream trial size comes in a screw top pot (opaque, heavy glass in the smaller form) from which you scoop the necessary amount of the thick white cream. A little goes a long way, and it is sumptuously hydrating, softly scented, and instantly makes your skin feel healthier.
The cream absorbs well into skin, leaving very little residue on face or pillow as you sleep, and you wake to healthy, hydrated, soft skin. When used in conjunction with the rest of the range my oily and acne-prone skin became more balanced and clearer.
I can't think of a single negative about this product and will be buying the full sized once I finish panning existing products
Tips: Definitely buy the 5 item trial kit from Essano, which is readily available at supermarkets for less than $20 and is a great way to try the range
