My hair is dry long and thin. I wanted this shampoo to work on my hair as I love so many of essanos products. I used this shampoo daily for about a week and found it made my hair dull, greasy and lifeless. I also found the bottle really difficult to open while in the shower and hard to get the shampoo out - the bottle is not a soft plastic, it was quite stiff and as the shampoo is quite thick it made it hard to squeeze the product out. The things I did like were the scent and the product size.

I picked this up when I saw it on special at 4 square. I don't think I would pay full price for it as $15.99 is just way more than I usually spend. It comes in a lovely pink bottle with the Essano branding.
It is a nice consistency and lathers up really well in my hair. I always shampoo twice these days, but the second shampoo you only need a small amount. I actually hate the bottles, it is so hard to get anything out, I wish they would make the plastic softer or something!
It does a great job at cleaning my hair and doesn't make my hair feel matted or tangled. It smells really nice, it is quite strong so maybe have a whiff in the shop to see if you like it.
Overall it is a nice shampoo but nothing spectacular so I would not purchase it again. I did not pair this with the matching conditioner but I remember using that and loving it so they would probably be great when paired together.
So I used this numerous times, purchased it multiple. The first few times I may have grabbed this as it was on special and liked the sound of Argan for my hair. Went back to repurchase and found it closer to $18 a bottle which is really pricey for what it is in my opinion. I loveeee the scent of this (yes it smells like argan oil) and my hair (being a bit more susceptible to change didn’t mind this). The shampoo itself has a good lather, but I do think that there are better products for a comparable price point.
Tips: Don’t use too much! Less is more
A really nice affordable brand that I know I can get quality care from. Scent may be a little strong for some people, but I loved it. And it made my hair really happy!
The Essano Argan Oil Nourishing Shampoo feels so good as its creamy texture is massaged into the scalp, and it leaves hair soft and clean. Its fragrance is delightful. Also positive, it is vegan and cruelty-free, contains 93.6 per cent natural ingredients, and the pretty-coloured bottle is made from recycled plastic. It is difficult to dispense from the bottle after a few uses as the shampoo volume decreases.
Tips: Use the whole Argan Oil range - it really makes a difference. I also like to leave it upside down on my shower to use it until the last bit.
This seemed to have everything going for it in terms of what I look for when buying shampoo: natural; free of synthetic chemicals and NZ made.
However, I found this isn't for me unfortunately. I found this to be 'too chemically' in its scent which made me wonder if this is in fact natural and not just green wash. It doesn't leave my hair moisturised either. It has the same effect on my hair that products such as Garnier or Pantene would have (products which I no longer use since I try to buy all natural hair products only)
I was initially reluctant to purchase it and in hindsight, I should have shelled out a few dollars more and got a product that I know I have good results
This is a great shampoo for dry ends that delivers. It gives body and bounce and helps with the frizz and smoothing out the dry ends due to the Argan oil and other beautiful natural ingredients. It also contains coconut oil, macadamia oil, olive oil, linseed oil, avocado oil, pomegranate oil, no wonder it smells so beautiful like a nutty flower. It smells like of a mix of coconut and ylangylang. This very nutty shampoo is moisturizing and packed full of protein. It will help end oily root, dry end hair problems. It gives great shine and makes hair look healthy. It comes in a 300ml bottle but a little goes a long way. It is just as good as many salon high end shampoos but without the price tag. I bought it on special for $9.99 at New World normally $15.99
Tips: I usually do 2 shampoos to give a thorough shampoo.
I received this shampoo in my last beauty review Christmas mystery box and was really surprised by the Essano range. My hair is thick and curly and is often really dry. This shampoo left my hair hydrated and more manageable. I now continue purchasing these products. My go to shampoo and conditioner are typically the R&Co; or Living Proof, so a much more affordable option is Essano, which does a great job!
I picked this up in my weekly shop along with the conditioner. My hair is often dry at my ends . This packaging comes in a bottle easy to get product out of . Consistency of this shampoo is smooth creamy. When I tried it I lathered it on throughout my hair . It’s bubbles up nicely in my hair. I rinse it out throughly . Afterwards my hair feels fresh and clean. Overall a good shampoo just wish it came in a bigger bottle.
I really wanted to love this product due to the pretty packaging and the expensive price tag, but sadly this product made my hair really greasy after trying it out for the first time this morning. I'm going to have to have another shower tonight to wash it all out. Will not repurchase.
