essano Oil Control Balancing Toner

I trialed the Oil Control Balancing Toner from Essano. Like the cleanser, it comes in a plastic bottle and I do wish Essano would use a more environmentally friendly option. I used the toner morning and night. The instructions say to use a cotton bud to apply but I used my Garnier reusable eco pads. It would be great for beauty brands to start assuming people will use environmentally friendly options and putting these on the instructions rather they their single use alternatives. The toner feels cool and refreshing to apply. It does have quite a strong smell, although it's not necessarily unpleasant. I have noticed a very small reduction in pore size - it may be linked to the use of the toner, or may just be luck. Time will tell and I hope the trend continues. I do hate the size of my pores so it will be great if this toner works to reduce them!

First impressions of the packaging was it was cute and typical of essano branding. It is clear what it's for and what it does and that it is a 3pc bundle system.

The smell of the toner is quite weak so great for those not keen on fragranced products.

The toner works well in making my skin feel clean and oil free when swiped across the skin on a cotton pad. I used it twice a day for a week and have gone through almost half a bottle.

I also noticed a very big difference in the oil my T zone had after a week of using this system and a possible reduction in pore size so it definitely seems to do what in claims to do.

I would definitely recommend this toner and the system to anyone that experiences excess oil to give it a go, its well priced and easy to get in the supermarket with your groceries so give it a whirl!

This is a really beautiful toner. I love that it is cruelty free and made in New Zealand. I use this toner after cleansing with the Essano Oil Control Deep Pore Cleanser. This toner has made my skin more hydrated and it feels so much more balanced with less oil. My skin feels fresh, smooth and soft after use. I would definitely recommend this toner, it is also gentle and helps with large pores around my nose.

this toner realy does what it claims, niacimide is a good ingredients to control oil and blemishes ,shrink pores a little bit as well ,by far is the best out of all that i have tried .

This product was good I used it as the second step in my cleaning regime after using the essano cleanse before bed. It worked well - removing all the left over bits of make up and dirt that there cleanser missed and left my skin feeling refreshed.

I actually really like this toner! It has a very mild scent, almost smells like nothing. It doesn't leave my skin looking shiny, it feels fresh and clean but also doesn't make my skin feel dry. I do feel like my pores aren't as massive as usual haha. Definitely my favourite product in the range.

I was so excited to try this oil control balancing toner. It absolutely doesn't dry my skin out! I found it very refreshing and minimising my pores. I have been using it for 2 weeks now and I love it. It makes my face so calm but fresh and clean at the same time. I highly suggest this for anyone!

The Essano Oil Control Balancing Toner, helpfully labeled number 2 in the regime is what I apply after the cleanser.

I haven't used a toner in a while, but after using it I realized it reminded me a lot of micellar water in terms of its consistency and takes a similar role in my beauty routine.

The toner comes in a plastic bottle that feel quite thin. And the consistency of the product is like a velvety water.

I don't have oily skin so I didn't feel it targeted excess oil and shine for me, but I could feel the Niacinamide at work and suspect it would be somewhat effective for those who do have oily skin.

For me it left my skin feeling smooth, hydrated and refreshed.

Comes in typical essano brown plastic bottle with pink label so no surprise there. I’m really enjoying this toner so far! It doesn’t leave any slight residual feeling like some toners do, it literally feels like nothing on your skin after drying so I’m loving it. Unsure yet if it’s minimising pores size but skin feels slightly smoother. I haven’t had long to trial after issues with couriers so not 100% whether it’s helping with oil control but I think so. True test will be summer months when oils outta control. Will purchase and use again for right price!
