essano Oil Control Deep Pore Cleanser

The essano Oil Control Deep Pore Cleanser is a gel formula, designed to remove oil, makeup and pore-clogging grime.

The formula is clear, and quite thick. It is easy to spread onto the face, and lathers up easily with a little water. I applied it with my fingers and found it really smooth and gentle on my skin. It doesn't have a strong scent, if anything I would describe it as clean smelling, and the whole regime smells the same.

I have been using this cleanser as part of my night time skincare routine, and found that it removes my makeup very easily, with just a gentle scrub using my fingers or cotton face pad. In general I am not very acne-prone, but I have not had any new spots pop up during my trial of this product. My skin is a normal/combination type, and since using this cleanser my face is feeling smooth and pretty good - not too dry or oily!

I have enjoyed using this cleanser and I think I'll definitely continue to use it!

I have really enjoyed using this cleanser and will definitely be sticking with it from now on. It feels very light to use and scrubs away dirt very effectively leaving my skin feeling soft and refreshed. The scent is pleasant and not too overpowering. A little goes a long way with it so the bottle should last quite a while. I’ve been double cleansing and my skin has felt much, much better with this product!

This is a great cleanser- it foams well, it cleanses well and it left my skin feeling really nice and clean after a day with a full face of make up. It didn't irritate my sensitive skin and the smell is quite pleasant- almost masculine smelling so my hubby was happy to use it too! Big positive is this being cruelty free, I'm trying to make more ethical purchases so this is great! Downside would be the packaging- I find it annoying when I can't see how much product is left.

I trialed the Essano Oil Control Deep Pore Cleanser. The cleanser comes in a plastic pump bottle. I was a bit disappointed that the bottle is plastic. I'd much prefer it to be glass so the impact on the environment is less. The cleanser is clear and thick and does have quite a strong smell. It lathers nicely and feels nice on your skin. My skin felt clean after using it. I used the cleanser morning and night and I can't say I found a huge difference in the oil control of my skin, and T-Zone in particular. The cleanser was fine and did the job of cleaning my skin, but it wasn't anything special and I wasn't wowed by the results. I'll finish the bottle and I'd use it again if gifted but I probably wouldn't go out and buy it myself.

First impressions of the packaging was it was cute and typical of essano branding. It is clear what it's for and what it does and that it is a 3pc bundle system.

The smell of the cleanser is rose scented, its not obnoxious but its definitely fragranced so if Rose isn't your thing this may be off putting, i think if it was toned down a tad tho it would be perfect!

The cleanser works well in both the basin with a cloth or in the shower with 1 pump being easily enough product to wash face and neck/chest. It foams up a little between your hands and easily. It left my skin feeling clean and also silky smooth.

I also noticed a very big difference in the oil my T zone had after a week of using this system and a possible reduction in pore size so it definitely seems to do what in claims to do.

I would definitely recommend this cleaner and the system to anyone that experiences excess oil to give it a go, its well priced and easy to get in the supermarket with your groceries so give it a whirl!

This is a great cleanser, it doesn’t have a strong smell, doesn’t dry out my skin, it cleans my skin nicely and I did notice some trouble pores get smaller(?) Does it do what it says? Yes, I believe it does, I noticed some clogged areas are clearing up, less blemishes and my skin has seemed calmer and soft. Will I use it again? Yes, it feels great, seems to work well and isn’t to strong smelling. It is available at the supermarket and is going to be decently priced. I like it.

I reviewed the essano Oil Control Deep Pore Cleanser at the same time as the essano Oil Control Balancing Toner and the essano Oil Control Oil-Free Moisturiser. The cleanser was nice to apply, lathered up easily, and had a pleasant scent. It made my skin feel quite clean and not too dry. Comes in a pump bottle, which made for easy use, and a little bit went a long way.

It is hard to review the product in isolation, but overall the three products made my skin feel quite dry initially (though the cleanser didn't), and oily overall and had a few breakouts during using it. I read somewhere that it can take over a month to "train" your skin to be less oily with these products, so I will give them more time.

Ok right off the bat, the smell is not for me. My friend and I agree that it smells like window cleaner! But my flatmate says it reminds her of something like clean and clear from back in the day. Scent aside, I don't find it too drying which is good. My skin is a little bit dryer this time of year so I definitely need to follow up with a moisturiser regardless of which cleanser I use. A bit too soon to tell if it's made a lasting improvement in my skin, but my T Zone has been less oily and I've only had minimal breakouts (though I think my birth control is to blame for the current pimples!) If you can get past the scent, I would recommend trying it out. Especially since it's a kiwi brand!
