I purchased this a week ago as I wasn't able to get hold of my usual moisturiser and I've been using it every morning and evening since. It has a pleasant fragrance - not too overpowering - and half a pump is enough to do my face and neck. I have combination skin so it's tricky for me to find products that cater to me but Essano's Rosehip Moisturiser keeps my face hydrated all day without leaving any oily residue and I've even noticed an overall improvement in the appearance of my skin (not so many breakouts, feels soft and supple and looks so much more healthy!) At $20 for a bottle I was initially a bit skeptical as I don't like to spend lots of money on something that won't work but I've been so impressed by it, I will be continuing to use this from now on :)

I have purchased and repurchased this for about a year now. I find it hard to get a moisturises that doent feel horrible on my face. I have tried a few and some feel as if they're too heavy, others overpowering with the scent and some I have just noticed do not do a single thing for my skin. I like the scent of this, it is quite subtle and while the bottle is small I only need like half a pump to do my whole face. I use it each time before i apply makeup to moisturise my skin underneath and when I take my makeup off at night and I have not found that it makes me break out. My complexion has evened out a little bit - my skin looks kind of glowy so I love this, will repurchase again!
I got a sample sized tube of this in a set from Countdown. To be honest I wasn't expecting much. However I have been pleasantly surprised. A nice and light lotion, this product is white in colour and to me, smells lighty lemony. This product hasn't irritated my sensitive skin and I am going to buy a full sized one this week. I layer this under my spf and it hydrates to the perfect level. I really like the fact that it is a homegrown company as well.
This is the first product from the Essano range that I have tried and I was drawn in by their use of Rosehip Oil.
I must say, I do like this moisturiser. It is quite light and great for everyday wear. The scent is pleasant but can take a little bit of getting used to. I really like the pump bottle and find them way more convenient than the typical tube. It is reasonably lightweight, doesn't feel greasy and it is gentle on the skin with lots of good natural ingredients.
I haven't noticed any improvement in the redness in my skin; but I haven't noticed it getting any worse! I would buy again; despite being a little more expensive then other supermarket brands, it is a decent size bottle and has lasted me a while so far. I am keen to try the other products after using this!
Tips: Countdown also often have sales including Essano - that would be the best time to give it a go.
I got this the other day, its not quite what I expected, the bottle is plastic, and the cream has a light pink tinge, however it does not exactly smell like roses. I use 2 pumps and find that is a good amount, but I think it absorbs into the skin really fast before I have had time to apply it to the whole face.
I love using this as an everyday moisturizer and like to follow up with it after my Essano foaming cleanser. It helps to restore and lock the moisture into my skin, I use it twice a day. At night after applying the cleanser and in the morning after washing my face with water. It's a great product to use under makeup as it's hydrating but also absorbs quickly and isn't greasy so my makeup stays put on top. Definitely a winner for me.
I use this ever morning after i've washed my face with the same brand! I find that it takes a while to soak in but leaves the skin feeling well moisturized. I would recommend using under makeup for sure, stays still the whole day but wait till it drys
I had high hopes but have been a little bit let down. This cream is too thick and is barely absorbed by my skin. It is gentle and I don't get irritated too much - it causes my eczema around my eyes to flare up a little but nothing too drastic.
I was a little disappointed that it isn't SPF (I clearly didn't read the packet properly) and I see now that there is a SPF added to the brand. So I use this as a night cream which works well due to the low absorption.
I HATE the way the pump clogs. Every day the end of the nozzle has gross crusty cream. Not sure if it's just me but I hate that.
Out of all the sample sized products in the Essano Rosehip Treat Your Skin Pack, Essano Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser was my favourite. The moisturiser is suitable for all skin types, has a delicate scent and was moisturising enough for me to use as either a day cream or night cream on my oily skin (if you have dry skin you'll need something richer at night, like their night cream).
I can't comment on the full sized packaging, as this came in a 20ml pink and black sample sized tube. The white cream has a good medium consistency (it's not as thin as a lotion but not thick like a cream) with a lightweight texture that is readily absorbed. It's non-greasy and leaves a soft not-quite-matte feel on the skin, making it perfect for use under make-up.
The moisturiser has a delicate, hard to pinpoint scent that smells almost floral with possible citrus undertones (maybe roses and lemons?) but it isn't overpowering and the smell dissipates fairly quickly after application.
Essano Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser is made in New Zealand, is cruelty free, does not contain parabens, sulphates, phthalates or silicones and is made with certified organic ingredients.
Unfortunately, I probably won't purchase this product again, purely because I don't like their cleanser or night cream and prefer to use complimentary products from the same product range, but I'd definitely recommend Essano Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser to anyone looking for or wanting to try and new moisturiser.
Tips: If you haven't tried Essano Rosehip products, get their Treat Your Skin pack first. It's full of luxury sample sizes that allow you to test the products before committing to full sized bottles.
Although I use a wide range of brands when it comes to skin products, this is the only daily moisturiser I use now. I have quite oily skin and yet this keeps me moisturised without adding oil factor and it doesn't break me out. The smell is quite pleasant which is nice for anything that's going near my nose. I lasts a while as you don't need much for your face, and has kept my skin moisturised even through this harsh, windy winter. The price is also very affordable, and the mini sizes are great for travel. My fave!
