Out of all the sample sized products in the Essano Rosehip Treat Your Skin Pack, Essano Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser was my favourite. The moisturiser is suitable for all skin types, has a delicate scent and was moisturising enough for me to use as either a day cream or night cream on my oily skin (if you have dry skin you'll need something richer at night, like their night cream).
I can't comment on the full sized packaging, as this came in a 20ml pink and black sample sized tube. The white cream has a good medium consistency (it's not as thin as a lotion but not thick like a cream) with a lightweight texture that is readily absorbed. It's non-greasy and leaves a soft not-quite-matte feel on the skin, making it perfect for use under make-up.
The moisturiser has a delicate, hard to pinpoint scent that smells almost floral with possible citrus undertones (maybe roses and lemons?) but it isn't overpowering and the smell dissipates fairly quickly after application.
Essano Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser is made in New Zealand, is cruelty free, does not contain parabens, sulphates, phthalates or silicones and is made with certified organic ingredients.
Unfortunately, I probably won't purchase this product again, purely because I don't like their cleanser or night cream and prefer to use complimentary products from the same product range, but I'd definitely recommend Essano Rosehip Regenerating Facial Moisturiser to anyone looking for or wanting to try and new moisturiser.
I had high hopes but have been a little bit let down. This cream is too thick and is barely absorbed by my skin. It is gentle and I don't get irritated too much - it causes my eczema around my eyes to flare up a little but nothing too drastic.
I was a little disappointed that it isn't SPF (I clearly didn't read the packet properly) and I see now that there is a SPF added to the brand. So I use this as a night cream which works well due to the low absorption.
I HATE the way the pump clogs. Every day the end of the nozzle has gross crusty cream. Not sure if it's just me but I hate that.
