I received a sample of Essano Rosehip Oil from countdown with an online order. I started using the oil around my eyes and noticed a difference so I purchased the Facial Moisturiser. I love these products the facial creme is beautiful and you only need a small amount the size of pea it goes such a long way. I would highly recommend.

Tips: Apply the oil first around your eyes then apply creme over entire face and neck for best results.
I bought the full size as I wanted a new moisturiser but then a few weeks later I purchased the trial pack as I wanted to try the cleanser (that’s another review).
It is a vegan moisturiser with some organic ingredients and states it on the bottle. It is meant for all skin types, meaning you don’t have to figure out your skin type. The trial size is now done in a small tube, it used to be a small pump bottle, both are good for travelling with. The full size is a brown tinted plastic bottle with a dark pink rose coloured label in it.
It is a white cream lotion that glides on. It is light texture. It moisturises well and my skin does not feel dry and like it is missing something. Nor is it greasy from too much product. I use about ½ a pump of the bottle and it does my face and neck then if there is anything left I rub it into my hands. I have been using it for a couple of months now and have only about ½ way through my second full size bottle.
It is scented but this is due to the oils in the moisturiser rather than additional perfumes.
The only down side is this has no sunscreen in it. You will need to apply it separately. Hopefully they will create a version in the future that does have some spf in it.
This is currently my main daytime moisturiser despite the lack of sunscreen in it. I like the fact that it is a natural product. When I started using it I was on a ‘minimise the artificial chemicals going into me’ phase. It is a product that I do intend to buy again as it is a reasonable price and available on my supermarket shop.
Tips: If you are not sure on this brand, get the trial size box as it is less of a commitment and expense than buying the full size bottles.
I was given this as a christmas present along with a scrub and night creme. I have combination skin and am prone to chin breakouts. I found this to be great for my skin. It smells pretty good and you only need a little product to cover your whole face and neck. With my previous moisturiser I found that throughout the day my skin would get very oily but this hasn't been happening with this product. It would seem to be balancing my skin quite nicely. I am definatley a convert and love this range. Next time though I will be investing in the moisturiser with an SPF, that I think is the only drawback of this product I have been able to find.
Tips: Use with one of the facewashes/scrubs in this range
A plastic brown bottle with a black pump keeping things nice and hygienic, no sticking fingers into it, it's in typical eassano colours, the packaging is nice and plain. This is natural no nasties lurking in this white lotion that has a faint rose scent. This is nice textured lotion that absorbs nicely into my skin. So after a good cleanse and a good squirt of this lotion I rub it in my face and down my neck, it's lovely and soothing and my skin feels great not stinging or tingling, so I clean my teeth and then I feel my skin needing more moisture, so I apply some more. The next time I use it I then resort to a cleanse then rosehip oil and apply this lotion, and doing the two together has been a nice combination. But for me just on its own was just not moisturising enough and no regeneration for me. Overall a lovely natural lotion with a fantastic smell just sadly enough my skin is too dry and too old. I'm quite unlucky to repurchase this, a shame as it's such a reasonable price.
I discovered this a few weeks ago as I could not get my regular product. Oh my gosh I love it I have rosacea and it has not bothered it one bit it. it spreads and absorbs into the skin beautifully as well as having a lovely scent to it. So far i will be looking at repurchasing the full size bottle.
I was a very lucky girl and got given a sample of this in my oneline shopping order – best sample I’ve received yet !
I absolutely adore Rosehip Oil so needles to say I was excited to slot this into my daily routine which for me at night included removing my makeup which I do using rosehip oil, washing my face cleansing then applying the Essano Rosehip Moisturiser. It does have a slight scent, nothing too overpowering I think the scent is more from the shea butter than the oils themselves but I did not mind the scent as it was very light.
It is a very light texture and one pump is enough to coat your entire face.
I did find it a little bit greasy to the touch but on the other hand it did absorb well into my skin and actually dried matte so it didn’t look oil or shiny on my skin which was a surprise.
I have sensitive skin prone to ezcema and being on the dry side and I really liked how this left my skin, it felt very light but very hydrated and moisturised at the same time and no sign of irritation. I think this was perfect for me in summer time but I don’t think in winter time that this would quite be as heavy or moisturising as I like.
I would recommend this if you like a lighter type of moisturiser or don’t require super duper hydration.
Tips: A little goes a long way with this one
So, first things first, but I *love* the cleanser, night cream and oil in this range. I picked up a very cool 5 piece sampler pack in the supermarket for a trip to Australia, and it was great to try things together. I have another upcoming trip and will repurchase the pack for that.
So saying, this is middle-of-the-road for me. I'll use it, for sure, but it's not a 'wow' or 'holy grail' product for me.
The sample comes in a generous size, in a soft pink tube with a screw cap. The design of the full sized product is a far more effective pump action dispenser atop a brown bottle with a label in the same soft pink.
This moisturiser is light and softly scented and it is quite thin. It spreads well, absorbs easily, and creates soft, hydrated, supple skin. WIth my oily skin it does leave a little sheen, which may have been partly attributed to Australian humidity or the amount of racing about (hello, shopping!) I was doing, but which I don't normally get from my regular lotion.
Benefit of the doubt though, as - as a whole - this range left my skin lovely... I will be purchasing this when I pan out my current one to use longer term. I love the nourishing, healing oils in this product, and the fact that it is so light and yet still hydrating.
Tips: You can pick up the sampler pack for less than $20 in supermarkets and it is a *great* way to try out the range
I received a sample of this product a little over a week ago when I was on the hunt for a new moisturiser.
I have combonation skin and have had some trouble with dryness of late. I was concerned on day 1 with this product as it did absorb very quickly and I was worried that it would not help with my dry skin. I was pleasantly surprised as it kept my skin soft all day and my skin didn't dry out. It didn't become oily either, it sat very nicely under my makeup also.
I have been using this every morning and the Essano night cream every night for a little over a week. So far my skin is noticeably softer and smoother. Still have a little dryness but it is improving.
I am actually going to purchase the cleanser as well and see how I go as the moisturiser and night cream are good and affordable products.
I do also have issues with sensitive skin so it is nice to use an organic product with less chance of reactions. Again, so far so good.
Very happy with this product
I was looking for a new moisteriser that would actually work for an affordable price and was excited to see this new range so bought it. I use it once a day and so far it is great. Just one pump (not even a full one) is plenty to put on my face and provide moisture for the day without feeling clogged up. It is light enough to wear under foundation once its been absorbed into your skin - perfect at night too. I want to try out the other products now in Essano's line.
This moisturiser is amazing, I have always struggled to find a really good moisturiser as my skin is extremely senestive and can be very dry. However this moisturiser isn't too greasy and gives the right amount of moisture to my skin.
Tips: Use it with the Rosehip cleanser and Rosehip oil. All the products are fantastic!
