I love this brand now, like many others who have wriiten such positive reviews.
I brought an Essano trial kit from Countdown, which included this facial moisturiser.
Other products in the trial kit included Rosehip oil, cleanser, night creme and body moisturiser. The little bottles are so cute, and the trial sizes a perfect size.
I have to be so careful what products to use on my skin, as i tend to get dry and sensitive skin (eczema prone).
My skin tends to react to different products, so this was a great way to try all of these products to see if they were suitable. All of these products were fantastic and caused no irritation to my sensitive skin.
First of all, I love the packaging- so stylish and looks like a luxury brand , when its so affordable. The pump is great, and makes it so easy to use. I much prefer pumps, more convenient and hygienic!
It find this facial moisturiser a perfect consistency and absorbs easily into my skin. My sensitive, dry skin feels hydrated and moisturised. It evens out the dry patches over my face and creates a better base for my primer and then foundation over top.
The hint of rosé is lovely and very subtle.
Such a fantastic product, yet so affordable. Im so glad i tried this out, as its so much cheaper than my clinique and Estee Lauder moisturisers! This brand is quickly becoming my holy grail products!
Five stars! Would recommend to anyone with dry, sensitive skin. I'm definitely going to buy the large size of this!
So I've been holding off this review for a while now making sure that i really test out this product since it is a skincare. And i think its time to review this gem.
I have dry skin, sometimes very dry, sometimes normal but i just always classify my skin as dry skin. Sometimes i do get a bit oily depending on the temperature, just a little bit, but very unlikely. Moisturisers are an essential to my skincare routine and I've always gotta apply it before bed after my cleansing routine and before my makeup application.
The consistency of this product is in between thick and thin. Its not thick and not thin either in my opinion. Thick is something like the Benefit Facial Cream and thin is like the Simple Light Moisturiser. I really like how this just soaks in to my skin and my skin just drinks it up. I always apply this after i wash my face and it does take a wee while to set, probably a minute or two.
The scent is not very noticeable for me, theres no distinctive smell so its not perfumed and that might be good for people who don't like scented products.
This benefitted my skin over the time that I've used as it really hydrated my skin, especially since its heading to winter and its really kept me moisturised for the whole day when i apply it in the morning. My makeup application has been flawless and I've experienced no flaking on my skin. I didn't break out at all, no red cheeks and i find that its contributed somewhat to evening out my skin tone. My skin has been normal since and hasn't been incredibly dry since I've added this to my skin care routine. Its become a staple item.
The bottle is very big and i was quite unsure if it was worth the $20 price tag, but I've changed my mind and it certainly is. You only need to use a small pump, not even a half, to moisturiser your whole face and with the big bottle, I'm sure it will last me a while.
Tips: Don't use a full pump or too much as it can give you an oily impression as it soaks into your skin.
I pump 1/4 of a pump into my fingers and rub the product between my hands and pat it into my face starting from the sides of my nose which is the centre of my face and working my way to outer perimeters of my face. I find that patting in the moisturiser instead of rubbing it in really moisturises my skin making it smooth and is much more gentle than rubbing, also helps avoid wrinkles.
