One of my favourite nail polish brands! It is the longest lasting polish I own, that has a good thickness. You don't have to pile on heaps of coats just for the colour to be vivid. They provide a beautiful range of colours at a reasonable price.

Tips: For longer lasting I would do 2 coats once the first one has dried. Lighter colours don't last as long as the darker colours (:
I have always loved Essie nail polish, have about 10 of them myself and this one is probably the most unique colour out of them all. I would prefer to wear it in winter as its not quite bright enough for me in summer but I still love it. It has an amazing shine/gloss and i found it very easy to apply. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a different but amazing colour !
Tips: Use a base and top coat to make it last longer, and wait inbetween coats for each to dry - avoids build ups and smudging.
I absolutely love this natural pretty pink colour. I'm not supposed to wear polish for work but this sheer colour makes my nails look a healthy soft pink colour with kind of a French polish finish to them. A little product goes a long way so try not to have too much on the brush when applying to avoid it from going streaky and apply 2-3 coats depending on your colour preference. This is a lovely base colour for nail art or add a wee diamante for that extra touch of glamour!!
Tips: Always prep with a base coat to protect your nails and apply a top coat for long lasting wear and shine!!
When I got selected to trail this I wasn't sure at all about the colour...but I actually love it. Its a charcoal grey, and it goes with everything! I recieved it five days ago, put it om staright away, it dried quickly and has not chipped at all. Its easy to apply, and looks good just with one coat, has a really nice shine. I will be definitely be wearing it again.
Tips: Use one coat first...I found it was enough for me.
Essie is not the big brand name like others but I would happily buy it. They have a great range of colours they are ling lasting, and not prone to chipping like other brands, cute little bottles. I have been very happy with my essie colours
Tips: always base, two colour coats and top!
I love Essie polish, just as much as OPI but I find Essie has a slightly better colour range, especially in the pale/sheer pink range - they have so many too choose from. I think the consistency, drying time and brush are all great quality. With a base coat and top coat Essie polish lasts me almost a week without noticeable chips but far less time if I don't use a top coat. The colours I have at the moment are Penny Talk, Back in the Limo, Recessionista, Don't Sweater It, and Eternal Optimist. I'd also like to try their Matte top coat soon.
Tips: Always use a top coat, no matter what brand you use it will always last longer with a top coat :)
This is my go to nail polish. When I first purchased it I was a bit dubious as to whether or not Essie nail polishes would be worth all the hype. But after trying this nail polish, I am so keen to keep purchasing this brand as I'm sure they certainly are worth the hype. I've been using it for the last 6 months or so and I hardly ever use any other colour because this is the only Essie nail polish I own and I'm in love. The packaging is so sleek.
This nail polish goes on smoothly and dries quickly. I love that in a nail polish. I hate when you splurge on a nail polish and it just goes all bubbly. But this nail polish didn't do that. It also dried very quickly which is great because I hate sitting around waiting for my nail polish to dry.
Overall, I loved this product and I can't wait to purchase more of the Essie nail polishes. However, I may have to save up because I can't afford to spend $23 on a nail polish all the time...
Tips: Apply two coats for a darker colour.
I received this product as a part of the BR save or splurge for the dark red polish, Wicked.
I got instantly excited about the colour. In the bottle it looks a lot more red than it does on the nails. Beware - when you first put a few layers of this polish on it does look quite black! At first I was a bit nervous about wearing this shade to work but then it seemed to warm into the dark red that I expected. It's a truly gorgeous colour!
The formula was perfect for application! Not too runny and not too sticky so I didn't immediately make a mess as I went along.
I didn't use a base coat on this application, which I plan to do on future applications because it lasted about 2 days before the first chips started to appear. I thought it was a little bit disappointing but I guess I only had myself to blame for that!
Overall I love Essie Nail polishes and I love this moody colour. For the price you can't really go wrong but for the full bodied colour with greater staying power I'd definitely recommend using a base coat! xx
I've owned way too many nail polishes but I've never had a black one. So when I saw it on sale I thought eh, why not? I've heard amazing things about Essie polishes, how their staying power is great, no chipping, dries fast, opaque blah blah. Here's my take. It does apply very smoothly and is very opaque. I only needed one coat for it to look decent and two made it look completely black and really glossy. The brush is comfortable to use and consistency is perfect. Tick for application! It dried in about 5 minutes but then when I took a hot shower that night it softened and got munted with fingerprints. But that only happened on two fingers. Meh for drying. I'm usually pretty rough with my nails and do a lot of hands-on things so I never have high hopes for my polish not chipping. But these lasted pretty well for about 4 days and chipped around the edges up to about a week. Then I HAD to get rid of it because chipped black polish just doesn't look great. Meh, pretty good for the staying power! I'd say yes Essie is awesome and makes manicures super easy in terms of application. But I'm not sure I'd buy more unless I found them on sale again.
I look at my vanity and see an overflow of Essie. Obviously my favourite. Well firstly it's affordable especially online thru other stores you cna get them on special. What I like is the square bottle, the paint brush is nice to hold and use and their range of shades are varied with cute names toboot. The brush is a nice square shape making it easy to apply however the bristles aren't flimsy nor are they stiff the combination of it could be called perfect. One layer could almost be enough but I like depth with my colours so I add two coats of paint to get that deep colour of the polish. I don't usually have a top coat on or a base, I'm lazy nail person and therefore it's just the polish itself. I can say with this alone I get a good wear of the polish before nay chipping occurs and I'm OK with that.
