Essie Nail Polish Review

I was disappointed not to get the original Essie colour that the trail was meant to be for, but it has all worked out in the end! I LOVE this colour! The Essie brush is right up there with the OPI one, possibly even better. The polish just glides on nice and easily. There wasn't a nasty smell either, which was a big plus. This was my first time using Essie and I am very impressed, will definitely be adding more Essie colours to my nail polish collection!

I really loved this nail polish, I loved the consistency and the brush held enough product that I didn't need to keep redipping. It was lovely as a sheer colour but building it up made it look nice too. Normally my polish will chip off the next day, but this has managed to last 5 days so far and is only started to chip away now.

This is the perfect nail polish for everyday wear if you are after a natural, tidy nail look. It goes on so easily and the formula isn't too thick of tacky so no bubbles. It also dried super quick so perfect for girls on the go. Love this product and am excited to try more from essie!

When I first read about this particular shade it wasn't exactly getting accolades because it was a "flat brown". I thought it would make a lovely colour on your nails especially if you have darker skin so naturally I jumped at the chance to try it out.

The colour is a very dark brown with reddish undertones so the colour isn't completely flat and it does in fact look really flattering on my skin tone (NC44).

You can glam this shade up by adding a sparkly top coat as well. I opted to add a gold sparkle polish on my ring finger as a feature nail and it looks really lovely.

The quality of the polish is signature Essie, it's a great consistency, not too runny and goes on really smoothly.

Overall, I think this colour is perfect especially for autumn when you need to whip out the rich browns and coppery colours.

I really love this polish and am already thinking of other ways I can glam it up.

My verdict? This is a beautiful polish and it's a lovely rich tone which does flatter mostly darker skin tones. It would probably border on looking a bit gothic on lighter skin tones.

If you like rich browns then this is definitely a polish you should try out. Or maybe just try out a different shade and amp up your polish colours.

This product exceeded my expectations by far! I have a labour intensive job and I defiantly pushed this product to the limit! No chips after 2 days which is pretty good for me, I'll be buying more in this range .

The colour in the bottle is a dense grey, but after it's on your nails and has dried it comes to life. The undertones of green are most visible in natural light, indoors this is a dignified, deep colour.

It only takes 2 coats and lasted 3 days before showing wear and tear. As a hairdresser this is good going!

It was a wee bit harder to remove than my OPIs but this is probably due to the dark colour.

Definitely a two layer polish - but such a great colour when layered up! A little bit shimmery so can be worn with any blue green combo. A classic.

I use Essie nail polishes in my salon and this colour always catches my clients eyes. It is a deep, shimmery bold blue. Beautiful on toes and for the more daring - on fingers too!

Aruba Blue is the most used polish in my essie collection. I remember being so excited when it arrived in the mail!

I find the colour is a perfect match to the bottle, perfect shine and very smooth. The brush is thin and quite white so I found application a lot easier. It dries really quick too, no smudges or dents.

It noticed small chips about the 4th day and that was after I had been cleaning using cleaning sprays.

I now have 3 essie nail polishes and love them all but this is definitely a favourite. The lovely pink tone of this colour gives your nails a natural and clean look. Essie nail polish also glides on with such ease and prevents streakyness making it so easy to apply. I LOVE the glossy and sheer finish you get from this polish!
