I found that the consistency of the polish started to thicken up after a few uses. However, I love this colour and how soft it looks!

This nail polish is a gorgeous colour and goes really well with current summer clothes. The brush was wider than I’m used to and initially I thought this made the coverage was uneven when I put it on my nails. It did make the application process faster though which was good. There was no smell which was a major plus as some other brands I’ve used have a really unpleasant artificial smell that hangs round for ages. It dried evenly giving a uniform look and there was no smudging which was great. There were no chips for the first four days and then I noticed a bit on some nails round the edge. I love the colour, the bottle itself is attractive and I will definitely be using it again over the summer.
this is my first time trying essie and it is x100times better than dollar store ones that I usually use. i had to do 2 coats to get a nice even opaque color but they dry really fast so its no problem. What i like the most is the color ! it is a bluesh purple(lavendar? i dunno) color with really subtle shimmer in it. the color is not a vibrant neon kinda color which i like because i like neutral colors. this would be a very versatile color for summer !
Tips: since it s winter here in NZ, i used the bikini so teeny color on 2 nails on each hand and the colored the rest with a nude pink color.
I absolutely love this nail polish! It's durable and the colour is so pretty with a little bit of shimmer (I got lots of compliments about it!). The polish glides on for a really smooth finish, and if you aren't that technical with a brush (like me) it comes off your skin very easily. Definitely recommend
I love nail polish and this brand and colour is in my top of favs to use! You could almost get away with one coat if you were in a hurry but best to do 2 and always use a base coat!
Tips: Base coat and 2 coats of colour and then a top coat for best results and lasting finish
The problem I have with most nail polishes is that it comes on either too thick or too thin. Essie nailpolishes are soo easy to use because the brush is so versatile and can be applied thick or thin. When i first put it on the brush covers most of the nail.
Tips: The only thing about this nail polish is that the coats come out quite thin. You need to put on around 3 coats for it to look good.
Essie is one of my favourite nail polish brands. The majority of colours are very pretty and feminine and they have a lot to choose from. I would prefer a slightly larger brush but that is a minimal annoyance.
I own a few metallic shades which are brilliant! Completely opaque in one coat, although I do two for staying power, and they are non-streaky. The pastel shades I have last a long time on my nails without chipping. They go on very sheer with the first coat but build up to opaque in 2 or 3 coats. They also dry reasonably quick which is good and leave a nice hard finish.
I purchase my Essie polishes on eBay as I find it cheaper even with paying for shipping and they have all the colour range.
I love this polish. They have a huge range of wonderful colours, and the application is amazing, it just glides on. The best thing is that it seems to last a lot longer then any other brand I've used, and I'm a nail technician so I've used a lot. The only negative I have is the price, unfortunately it's a bit too expensive for me to be able to buy the amount of colours I would need, totally worth it, but just a tad too expensive.
I have my 2 Essie polishes in Chinchilly (a cool toned grey) and No Boundaries (a bright fuschia). I love the simple packaging with the white cap and clear glass bottle as it looks sleek and allows you to see the colour inside.
The brush is also very good, dense enough to pick up enough polish and broad enough so that it doesn't cause any streaking.
The formula is also amazing, both are opaque with 2 coats and while it does take a while to dry, I find that it is one of the formulas which lasts on me and I can wear it for more than a week withouth it chipping. With the bright colour, I also find that it remains bright and vibrant for a good week - which is quite rare with my other bright polishes.
Overall, yes it's a bit pricey but for what you're getting, it's definitely worth it!
Tips: Farmers sometimes has specials, or otherwise check out nzsale.co.nz as they sometimes sell shades for only $9!
I have a few of Essie's bright colours in my polish collection but after trying this I can see why people rave about this neutral colour. It is a 'your nails, but better' colour. It makes your nails look really healthy and polished due to the slightly glossy finish. It would be perfect for job interviews, weddings or any time a neutral nail colour is needed.
Like all Essie polishes it is DBP, Toluene and Formaldehyde free and goes on like a dream. With this particular colour you do need a few coats to get the perfect colour as it is a light formula and can look a bit streaky. I also found that it can take awhile to dry completely so just allow a bit of time or use a fast dry top coat.
I have found that it stayed on my nails well (with a top coat) and didn't chip easily, I was very impressed with this polish and will continue to have this staple colour in my collection for many years to come.
Tips: Use three coats to get the best colour and make sure it is streak free.
