Estée Lauder had always been fascinated with the mystery and opulence of the Orient. In 1978, she decided the time was right for an Eastern-influenced fragrance. Cinnabar marked the beginning of a worldwide wave of exotic Oriental fragrances.

Cinnabar, this took me a while to really like this scent. I tried it a few times before I bought it. This is one fragrance that smells better the longer it is on. As it warms to your skin the scent really comes into it's own. It is warm and spicy, I like it for winter as it is also quite a heavy scent, but I love it. The top nots are floral, jasmine, orange flower and tangerine. The middle notes are clove, muguet and lily. My favourite notes, the base notes are sandalwood and patchouli. As this is an eau de parfum you will find it long lasting, so you wont need to apply too often.
