Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

This is my first higher end foundation and I am so pleased I brought it. I have very oily skin and this is the only foundation that I have tried which lasts for 5+ hours looking matte. This foundation also wears off evenly which is very important when wearing it for 10+ hours

This brilliant but ecpensiv foundation is a good highly recommended foundation if ur looking for that coverage airbrush look.it not only feels but looks great when wwaeinv this foundation as it stays on all day long and also protects ur face fromnthe sun at the same time .be carefull not to over apply this product as if u dont blend iy in proply it will show on ur face az iv had many many experience witj many diifernt foundations as a makeup consultant but found the best goundation and makeup will always come with the high end brand name and price but ull always end up with a satisfying outcome

So I used to be OBSESSED with matte looks and this was defintley my go to for that! Long lasting like sooooo long lasting, good for people who oiley skin aswell! Keeps them nice and matte. The coverage is perfect I would defintley say its full coverage. You do have to work quite quickly with this product as it sets quite fast so I would recommend using a brush that's good at buffing (I use jessup brushes and their perfect) would defintley recommend getting a sample before purchasing this product though :)

This foundation does everything is says it will. It is light and glides on my skin so well without drying it out during the day, even thou it stays on ALL DAY. I find that I do not need to touch up whilst wearing this foundation and my skin always looks flawless. The packaging is a standard glass bottle, which I find I have to be careful as you do not need a lot of this product to get a good even coverage. Don't use to much as you can get a cakey look. I use a small amount and this gives me a good coverage for my whole face. It is hard to remove and if you do not use a make-up remover than you will need to cleanse twice to get all traces of foundation off. I have tried many foundations and always revert back to this product because it does work... so I am happy to purchase the make-up remover oil with it. love love love.

I found this to be a really good heavy coverage foundation. It caused less breakouts for me than other foundations so I don't have that problem. The staying power was really good and if I have a day where I need my makeup to stay on I'll use this. The bottle I have at the moment is too dark for me but that's my fault but I think when the summer comes again it will be the right shade. Personally I don't use this foundation everyday as it's very heavy feeling to me. It's a really good foundation for special occasions though, which is what I use it for. I'm not really crazy for the bottle or the price...but I'll live with it.

Well, I would definitely recommend this foundation for people who desperately wants perfect coverage for acne scars and up-coming acne and with people who have oily skin. I personally felt it was to thick for my skin ( which is dry skin). I would not recommend this to dry skin people like me but would definitely recommend it to people with dry skin.

I have the colour ivory beige for fall & she'll beige for spring. I wasn't sure if it this would suit me so I got samples first & from first use its a winner. Apply quite effortlessly and gives you enough time to work with prior to drying/setting. A little bit goes a long way. Once this sets it isn't going any where. I use primer first Benefit Porefessional then go over with this foundation using a buffing brush it glides across my face & doesn't settle into any fine lines. I find that it has a good full coverage and that laying to build coverage isn't necessarily needed if anything building up can look cakey. I follow in with a concealer then set, followed by bronzing & highlighting a small spritz of setting spray just to soften up the powdery effect & voilah the face is set for the whole day.

What I love is cooking working and moving around doesn't effect this foundation. As long as you don't cake it on youre left looking flawless for the whole day & it doesn't move you won't necessarily need any touch ups or powering till well into the late afternoon which isn't typically the usual for me with other foundations. Shine free & full coverage with no budge what more could you need?

Year after year I keep coming back to this foundation. I was initially introduced to this product on my wedding day and I've never looked back! It goes on easily, gives amazing coverage and stays put all day! I can't rave enough about it!

I received a sample and I quite liked it, mainly because I have an oily skin. It lasts all day and it's truly mattifying. The only downside for me was that the shade seemed to have matched my skin tone at the beauty counter but it was actually too light. I used it anyway and just applied a darker powder over it which worked fine. You have to be quick with application because the foundation does set very quickly. I would only use this if I was going out to a party or during summer if I really feel the need to wear foundation. It is mainly suitable for the oily/combination type skins and would not recommend it for those with dry skin because it does not moisturize at all. Application is best when using a good quality moisturizer and this allows for a smoother application.
