Disclaimer - I used this foundation about 2 years ago so I don't know if it is still the same. However I didn't go back to it because it was just a bit too much for my skin - as in it has fantastic coverage but it really looked like you were wearing foundation, so when I slapped this on I always had to make my eyes and lips pop to balance it out, so it's no good for a quick skin pick-me-up. But as it promised, it does have amazing staying power and a flawless finish. I continue to seek for the holy grail of foundation that makes your skin look amazing without it looking like you are wearing foundation!!

Tips: Best for a night on the town.
This is perfect. The best foundation that I've ever tried. I have repurchased this 3 times!!! It's my go to foundation. It works perfectly on me. It's long wearing and doesn't feel cakey. It even gave me a glow. Love this
Was lucky to get given this from a friend who bought from Estée Lauder counter and cosmetic girls recommended the wrong shade but lucky for me, pebble is the perfect shade yay! I love this, has max coverage but doesn't feel heavy unlike others (revlon colorstay), but for everyday makeup I mix with my norm moisturiser and apply instead, gives perfect even looking skin.. Price point for me is the only issue, but hey it is worth it!
Tips: Mix with moisturiser or sun screen for a perfect sheer look.. And a beauty blender for a streak free finish :)
I wanted to get a foundation that had great coverage and lasted longer than the trip to work. I was also given a bit of birthday cash so went into Farmers not caring of the cost, just wanting a decent foundation. The Farmers beauty consultant recommended the Estee Lauder Doublewear. She colour matched me and I bought it and went home to try.
The first thing I noticed was the great coverage. It really did make my skin look smooth. However I realised due to my makeup style that its more of an evening makeup for me. Which is fine. I guess I can handle my makeup melting off my face at work but feeling great about my makeup when I am out in the evenings/weekends.
But... after applying the foundation, my skin felt very tight. Like I was doing a facemask that pulls on your skin when drying. Its a rather weird sensation so I ended up washing it off. As I have young kids and minimal social life at the moment, I havent had the opportunity to take it for a test drive in the evenings yet. I am hoping that when I next apply it, that I forget/or get used to that feeling of my skin shrinking..... I'll have to as i have invested now!
I love this foundation so much. After trying a tester for a few days i went back and brought a whole bottle. I also convinced my friend to buy to as well.
Tips: Use a hydrating primer and best applied with a brush.
Ah the woes of being pale as a ghost! One of my constant troubles is there are about 2 foundations that suit my skintone and they happen to be asian bb creams that are extremely expensive here. When I saw Estee Lauder run the free 1 week sample promotion for this I thought I'd try my luck. So I went instore and a lovely lady matched my up with the lightest shade. I think it must've been the slightly yellow lighting instore but when I got home and looked at myself I saw a really yellow patch on my otherwise slightly rose but otherwise white face. I was however really impressed with the staying power, this really does live up to its name for longitivity. I have tried having a full face of this a couple times and it doesn't look too bad, as long as I blend down to my neck. Really wished they made a lighter shade because then I'd definitely go buy this!
This foundation is great if you want something that is going to stay in place all day and not move! They also have a great colour range. Amazing for oily skin and normal skin, but I don't think I would recommend it for people with dry skin, unless you use a moisturising primer first because it is prone to cling onto and emphasising dry patches.
It is a little expensive in NZ, but I think it is worth it - I personally use it only for special occasions because I don't want such full coverage for everyday wear, so one bottle will last me awhile.
Tips: Exfoliate and use a moisturising primer first!
I've heard the hype, and finally got round (well emptied my current foundation) to try this foundation. I highly recommend getting a test pot from a beauty counter, as I needed to blend two colours to get the right shade.
This foundation is silky smooth with a liquid almost water like touch. It's super easy to blend and apply and has fantastic coverage. Aside from under eye make-up, I use the foundation as concealer! I dot it on any blemishes or marks after I apply to my face (I'm over 30 and still get pimples, argh!) and a light dusting of powder to set it. I have oily skin, so powder is a must in my make-up ritual, but on days around the house, I can forgo it and still get great wear all day long.
My favourite part is how light weight the product the is, it feels like I'm wearing nothing at all. And for days I want just a light touch of coverage, I mix it with my moisturiser and get a dewy application. I love how versatile it is and yet it still gives a flawless application and blends easily. It also doesn't settle in any of my fine lines - I have some fine lines on my forehead and between my eyes, and this product doesn't accentuate these pesky lines.
I also think the price is great value. Compared to my other high end foundation, this product is cheaper, last longer, is lighter to touch and easier to apply. Definitely my go to foundation!
Tips: Get a test pot, gives about two week's worth of product - great value and you can ensure you have the right shade for your skin tone.
Love it - really great staying power, stays put until I wash it off at night. Nice finish on the skin compared to other brands I've tried. Hate it - no pump, I never get the same amount and waste product dripping down the bottle. It is hard to apply, currently I use a stippling brush, then pat over with a damp beauty blender, which is really to much work in the morning. It also sinks into my pores. But for the saying power and ability to keep the shine (mostly) under control would repurchase.
Tips: It took four "consultations" at different counters to find a match. Don't settle on the colour if you are not happy with it.
This foundation is a MACHINE. I have never used a foundation before where I have felt comfortable wearing without a power. One layer with a beauty blender gives me full coverage and lasts all day, it's actually almost a pain to take off. I bought it for my wedding but I did notice some oxidising when my face got hot - it would turn slightly orangey. But once my face has cooled down it goes back to normal. I think I may not have been colour matched correctly, so once this bottle has run out I will try a lighter colour.
I did end up using a different foundation for my wedding that suited my colouring a bit better, but I still use this 2-3 times a week when I know I will be hot/sweaty or having a long day.
Tips: If you use your fingers or the back of your hand for application, be sure to remove it straight away. It's so long lasting it almost stains your hand.
