Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation Review

I used this foundation for YEARS after struggling to find one that would stay on all day. I've reluctantly recently switched foundations after realising I was matched in the wrong shade....it lasts really well on the skin but doesn't make it look cakey. Also don't love that it doesn't have a pump, so it feels pretty messy

There is a reason this is so highly rated! Glides on beautifully to give a full coverage without looking cakey and lasts all day. Foundation is one thing I never skimp on - this product isn’t exactly budget friendly but the results are worth it. Does what it says it does!

This is quite pricey, but you do get what you pay for! This foundation lasts SO long, morning to night without a smudge! Super impressive staying power. However if not blended properly it can look a little bit cakey. It doesnt seem to oxidize on my skin which is very good as I usually end up a little orange by the end of the day with other foundations, but not with this. You can tell the bottle is made of good glass quality. The packaging is also sleek and classy. I use this foundation mainly on a night out, and love it. A flaw for me is that if I use it too often, I will break out but I think that's because it is quite heavy.

This foundation is great for coverage and long wear. It’s definitely NOT a foundation for your everyday minimal/ fresh coverage gals out there! I find it similar to Tarte Amazonian Clay foundation. It’s very matte and once dried- it’s heckin plastered there until you decide to take it off! It is expensive if you are using every day and power through it. Other than that, it does what it claims to do. Great for bridal or special events for photos being taken.

Provides a great full coverage foundation, great for oily skin or t zone. Lasts me from the morning to evening with only a slight tinge of my redness coming through on my cheeks. Can make dry skin look a little textured

Fantastic for oily skin, do not use for dry skin. My skin was so oily even in this you would see the oil come through after a few hours, this was the only foundation I could use and it made my skin look flawless!! never got caught in my pores and covered all my acne. However, as iv'e aged my skin has got less oily and now it catches a lot making my skin look wrinkly and caked. THIS IS A VERY FULL COVERAGE AND MATTE!!! and needs to be washed off fully before going to sleep. It is hard to take off but the bonus is that once it's on it doesn't budge

A classic and fave in the Estee lauder range. It is a thick liquid texture and benefits from bottle being held before application to warm up contents making them more plyable. I use a brush or sponge for fuller coverage, fingers for lighter. Full cigg

This isn't my all time favourite foundation but it is a great foundation if you want a transfer proof, long lasting, full coverage, water resistant sweat proof, hiking in summer then going for a swim and still looking perfect kind of foundation. It'll get you there and back. It is quite matte, it isn't very flexible once applied it sets and stays all day. I also purchased the Estee lauder powder and it sets it really well. It didn't feel that great on my skin it felt a bit heavy and dry, I prefer foundations to have health benefits for my skin and to feel natural and have some glow. It also didn't last as well as some foundations I have, but it was a great colour match.

This foundation looks nice and smooth on and it is definitely double wear. It smells nice and doesnt fade or rub off. I wore it to a wedding and it didn't dry out or need touch ups at all. In fact of one were to do an all nighter this foundation would stay put well into the next day.
