This foundation is absolutely stunning for events and special occasions, while you could still wear this on a day to day basis, I would prefer to save this luxury product for those special occasions.
The coverage is full, and a little goes a long way.
Personally this works better for me in the cooler months here in New Zealand and I tend to move away from it during the summer as I find it can often be drying and thick, and throughout summer I like something a little less heavy.
Tips: Ensure to use a good moisturiser/primer before hand as the foundation can sometimes be quite dry. For flawless coverage, beauty blender are my favourite for application. Use a little fix plus to give a flawless finish
Tis has been my go to foundation for a couple of years, I always try something new but come back to this foundation. I have uneven skin tone and some acne scaring and this is the only foundation that doesn’t disappear halfway through the day. I don’t have to touch up or worry that ill start to look like an oily oompah loompa.
Tips: This foundation is best aplied to skin that is regularly exfoliated, as it can show dry patches. Another tip that makes this foundation look its best is to always wear a primer, it spares the product and the application looks more flawless.
I love this foundation for special occasions and events. I wore this for the ball and it lasted well without requiring to be touched up. I think this is my first ever high end purchase but its price when compared to other "drugstore" foundations isn't that different.
I was shade matched at a Farmers store and they also give out a sample of the foundation. It isn't the most weightless of foundations but surprisingly it didn't make my face look caked on or over done. My skin wasn't irritated and it didn't cause me to break out.
Tips: Go in store to get shade matched. I find using a primer makes the foundation look nicer.
I have been using this foundation for over 5 years and have yet to find anything better. I initially tried Estée Lauder double wear due to the long lasting claims and it delivers just that. I get quite a sweaty face if over exerted and this make up still Stays on. I can even swim with it and it still stays. Great in my busy life as I never have to worry about reapplying during the day. I also love the coverage of this foundation as it evens my skin out beautifully and hides all my imperfections. Big thumbs up from me
Tips: Find a cleanser that works at removing this makeup. I’ve found a $5 Kmart brand does the trick or an oil based cleanser. I also like to apply a light oil to my skin before applying as it gives my makeup a dewy and fresh look.
I had heard rave reviews about this foundation online, i was away and had forgotten my usual foundation so i decided to give it a go.
When the estee lauder lady applied it on my combination skin it looked great - matte and flawless yet thevnext time i applied it myself it looked cakey and stuck to my dry patches in the grossest way!
However i recently discovered i was applying wrong, now that im using a damp beauty blender to apply this to my face my makeup is beautiful and flawless so im going to give it a chance
Tips: If you have dry patches i highly recommend using a damp beauty blender to apply
This foundation is great ! A small bit goes a very long way and it has great coverage. It dries semi matte and is a bit thick but once use could probably last a couple of days. It causes breakouts if it isn't washed off correctly (you'll need more than just a makeup wipe). You'll also need a good moisturiser as I have found this makes my skin really dry but otherwise I think it's great. I have recommended it to my sister and she has had great results with it aswell !
Tips: Be careful of which setting spray/powder you use as some of them make it look a bit cakey.
The coverage is amazing and it is long lasting but I don't think its worth the price. I don't like the way it goes on my skin and it feels like I'm wearing more makeup then i actually am.
I love how long wearing this foundation is, and how it manages to survive in even the muggiest of temperatures.
I took it with me on a trip to south east asia and was worried that I might sweat it all off, but it lasted really well, and I didn't have any problems wearing it for long days out in the sun!
I have really sensitive dry skin and have not had any problems with it, a lot of foundations have made me break out in the past, but this has never happened with doublewear.
5/5 Definitely recommend it to anyone in need of a foundation that can brave warm days while still looking flawless.
A fantastic foundation, it is long wearing lasts all day and has a great selection of colours, if you ask they will usually give you a couple of samples to take away to make sure you get the colour right.
My all time absolute favourite foundation. I love how flawless it is and how easy to apply. It’s a complete full coverage foundation which never fails to last amazingly through the day/night. I also love the colour range, i personally am always able to match a colour throughout all seasons to my natural skin.
