I absolutely adore this cleanser. I've tried so many over the decades and after picking this up a few years ago there's been no looking back.
I despise scented face products, and this product is virtually unscented with only the slightest whiff which is pleasant and not at all off-putting.
A little goes a long way, and when you wet the bar and rub it gently between you hands, you get a lather which is a really beautifully thick foam. The bubble structure is very fine and dense (similar to the texture of the rich, thick foam layer that tops a sour cocktail), so rather than foaming up into a mass of bubbles, it's almost like washing your face with soft velvet. An absolutely lovely sensory treat!
After rinsing it off, your skin is left clean but not that 'squeaky clean' that means you've just stripped away all the good bits as well.
I like to use oils to remove makeup and Deep Green has no issues cutting through and removing the oil, without leaving skin dry.
My skin is a mix of very oily and very dry (thanks, aging!) and Deep Green balances both very well.
If you're after a solid cleanser option that isn't oily, this may be a good choice. It does cleanse well and my skin feels soft and not too dry after using. However, it can be hard to rinse off all the clay 'film' from using it off my face. The scent is also a bit strong for me.
