This cleanser is awesome! It removes makeup well, cleans without drying out (although you might get the tight feeling, especially if you have dry skin), and lasts forever! I've been using one of the blocks for about 3 months and I'm only halfway through it. It keeps my skin clear and bright and I would recommend it to anyone.

Tips: Wet and rub between your hands until it suds and that's all you need.
Just try it.
I got this in Ethiques $20 mystery box. I'd never used a solid cleanser before so was intrigued by it. It comes in a cute wee green heart shaped bar.
My skin is dry and can be sensitive, plus I get the occasional breakout. This is aimed at oily skin so I was a bit worried it may dry my face out even more....but i decided to give it a go. I lathered between my hands then massaged all over my face and washed off. It lathers really well and feels nice on the skin.
It has not dried my face out at all and I've not had a breakout since using it. I really quite like it and my skin just looks clear and healthy. I have the smaller bar so I will certainly be purchasing the bigger size. A thumbs up from me!
Bonus points for this cleanser not requiring any plastic packaging! 💚 The 4 bars in the box last for a few month so great value for money. My skin loved the ingredients in the deep green cleanser; the clearest it’s ever been. I will continue going back to buy this product for many years.
Tips: I love putting a bar in the Ethique storage container and leaving it in the shower - it becomes soft from the steam and can scoop out product to apply as a mask!
I absolutely adore this cleanser. I've tried so many over the decades and after picking this up a few years ago there's been no looking back.
I despise scented face products, and this product is virtually unscented with only the slightest whiff which is pleasant and not at all off-putting.
A little goes a long way, and when you wet the bar and rub it gently between you hands, you get a lather which is a really beautifully thick foam. The bubble structure is very fine and dense (similar to the texture of the rich, thick foam layer that tops a sour cocktail), so rather than foaming up into a mass of bubbles, it's almost like washing your face with soft velvet. An absolutely lovely sensory treat!
After rinsing it off, your skin is left clean but not that 'squeaky clean' that means you've just stripped away all the good bits as well.
I like to use oils to remove makeup and Deep Green has no issues cutting through and removing the oil, without leaving skin dry.
My skin is a mix of very oily and very dry (thanks, aging!) and Deep Green balances both very well.
If you're after a solid cleanser option that isn't oily, this may be a good choice. It does cleanse well and my skin feels soft and not too dry after using. However, it can be hard to rinse off all the clay 'film' from using it off my face. The scent is also a bit strong for me.
