At this stage this liner is the best I have ever tried. I brought this pen quite some time ago and it's still going strong. When I purchased this I also got the maybelline gel liner (there was a 20% off or something at Countdown) while the gel liner is a fav as well it's since dried out but not this pen!
This pen has the finest tip I have come across in a liner pen. It took some getting use to but it's great as you can really get it into your lash line while making it look like you have no liner on as you can create such a fine line.
It's pigmented and dries quickly, doesn't flake and lasts on my oily lids all day without smudging.
I love creating winged liner with this pen as you can get the lines and tip of the wing so perfect.
Best of all it's affordable!
If you are new to liquid liners I think this product is a great one to try. It's outdone many I have tried including MAC, Stila and Bourjois.
This was the first pen-style liquid liner I tried out, and it’s really impressed me overall. My current one is about to dry out, and I’ll definitely be repurchasing.
The sleek thin packaging of this really appeals to me, and it’s very functional with a tight-fitting cap and flat ends so it can be stood up in a jar/container easily. The tip is basically like a very fine tapered felt pen, which means it’s both firmer and more easily controllable than the brush-style liquid liners I’d tried in the past. It’s easy to make a very thin line, and easy to thicken it up because of the taper. The ‘ink’ (liner) flows smoothly, and up until very recently, when it’s started to dry up (I’ve had it for a good few months longer than recommended… oops), the pigmentation has been continuous and very black.
This dries in a matter of a minute or two to a fairly matte/satin finish, making it perfect for a classic retro cat-eye flick. It isn’t waterproof, but I’d say it is fairly water-resistant – a quick walk in the rain won’t leave you with black streaks everywhere, although a shower definitely will. :P Because of this it’s no trouble to remove – micellar water does the trick easily, as does my usual oil or balm cleanser.
Honestly, I don’t really have any complaints with this product. It’s affordable, easy to find (you can pick it up along with the groceries at the supermarket!), and simple to use. I’d definitely recommend it to someone just starting out with liquid eyeliner, as well as anyone else looking for a reliable and easy-to-use liner option.
