I am not very good ay applying liquid eyeliner. All my life I have used a pencil eyeliner so I struggled using this. I found I couldn’t get close enough to my eye line that I ended up get the liquid in my eyes. Ouch it stings! Even though I did so terribly I can see this would be a good product for people because it lasts all day and does not smudge

Maybelline's Tattoo Gel Liner allows for great precision and flexibility, so you can make your line as thin or as thick as you want and really get into the lash line.
The liner lasts all day and is reasonably smudge proof. It also has a nice intense black color.
It does look like it has the potential to flake but so far it's stayed in place.
Packaging is straight forward and functional. Good performance. All in all a nice solid gel liner.
Tips: This liner takes a very steady hand and I wouldn't recommend to someone who hasn't applied a lot of eyeliner. You can also use a credit card to make your lines sharper and straighter.
Thank you BR for letting me review this product.
This eyeliner defiantly lives up to the claims of smudge and fade proof, not sure about the 36 hours as im not going to wear eyeliner for that long but it lasted really well through out the day! It has a small brush and i feel could be hard for people who haven't quite mastered the wing yet but for me it was really easy to use and went on really smooth. Id think about buying this for sure!
Tips: You will need makeup remover!!
Love this product, its super black and goes on easy with the awesome applicator. The applicator isant a brush so no risk of any mess with loose bristles. You get a tidy look and you can make the lines as fine or thick as you like. It lasts the day but still comes off easily with make up remover. Would highly recommend.
Tips: Make sure to wipe excess off, a little goes a long way.
My first reaction to this was that it was surprisingly very easy to apply which I did not expect. It’s a brush sort of applicator but quite thin and you’re able to really get into the lash and make sure there are no sparse areas showing. I’m usually terrible at eyeliner which is why I don’t use it but I’d have to say I did a pretty good job with this product. It’s also a nice dark black which dries quite well and didn’t smudge. I will say after wearing it after a long day it wears off a little bit but then again I have very oily eyelids so that might’ve been the problem.
I've never quite mastered liquid eyeliner beyond the pen's so I trialled this product with a little worry and a lot of hope.
The product itself is very dainty/delicate to handle. It's a really tiny pottle of gel but a good size brush, and the nib is firm enough that it's quite accurate with it's application. Sadly my skills didn't match the potential of the product, and despite many attempts, all applications looked terrible on me - I just couldn't master a thin line, and I've never mastered the winged-liner so wasn't even going to attempt that. The product itself is great if you're a master of liquid liners, and I loved the finish of the product when it dried. I can get irritation from some mascara's and liners and this one didn't cause any itching, which is a win.
With all my failed attempts I can say that removal of the liner is really easy considering it's 36 hour/semi-permanent claim. A wet cotton wipe, and it wiped away relatively easily - and not in a smudged manor, but rather it just sort of peeled/lifted away.
My skill level let the product down, rather than the other way around, so while it's not for me, if I had a steady hand and firmer skin I think this would be a great product
This liquid eyeliner has once again proven I lack the basic skills of eyeliner application (if it's not in pencil form). I like how long the handle is for good control, along with the ultra-slim tip that is gentle but firm for applying the liner. These are definitely in the plus column. Next we have the comedy of errors that only a novice can achieve.... I'm 45yrs old with hooded eyes, applying the liner and then blinking because I couldn't help it ensured the liner was transferred to the top/crease of my eye. Fail number one, cue the oil based makeup remover to remove the mess and start over. Because my eyelids are not smooth and wrinkle free, my 'straight line' ended up looking like morse code. Fail number two. I wear glasses, so while applying eyeshadow over the blank canvas that is my eyelid is easy peasy, unfortunately applying a thin and even line of liquid liner is anything but. Fail number three. Add in the fact that I couldn't draw a winged tip to save myself and you have the train wreck that was my trial of this product. Sigh. The product itself is very smooth and glossy, and does dry really quickly (as evidenced when I blinked). The colour is a very deep true black. I'm sure for those women who have had a lot of experience with liquid liners, this would be a great product for them to purchase and to use. Sadly for these older hooded eyes that are myopically challenged along with a not so steady hand, this was not meant to be for me.
Tips: Don't blink while applying. Have steady hands. Don't have older eyelids :)
I dont use gel liners often as i have hooded eyelids and if i do its usually a pen but this is a great formula and i think i could use it going forward with some manipulation.
Brush: The gel liner come with a long tipped brush end, which can take some getting use too, i almost felt like getting out a angled liner brush and giving it a go that way to get the straight lines. Mind you i just cant use the long brush tips no matter how hard i try.
Packaging: great sized tube and definitely alright to hold when applying
Formula: Deep black which is ACE! and lasts definitely for 36 hours. It is easy to remove as well which is a bonus and did not irritate my contact lens wearing eyes.
Probably would not buy again but that is personal preference for the gel pens rather then brush ends :)
This eyeliner is super black, and super precise, which I love! It's pretty easy to use and get a nice line with, and I found that it's not too difficult to get both a really fine and also a thicker line with the brush applicator. This product didn't feather into fine lines either, which is always nice. The formula has a decent staying power, however I found that when it starts to break down it does so in a way that peels off slightly, which isn't always the best look! On the whole, pretty decent, and one that I would consider recommending to a friend.
Tips: Don't put this one on too thick, or it might start to peel!
Thank you Beauty Review for this trial.
To be honest I am not the best at applying eye liners so it was with great trepidation that I attempted this. I really do admire people who can do this with ease.
This comes in a typical eye liner tube. The applicator is super fine and the formula is a gel like substance.
I really tried my best to apply this as I love the look of nicely lined eyes but alas, this skill is one that no matter how I try, I cannot master.
The attempts I made were not great, it kind of looked like I had asked my grand daughter to line my eyes for me. That being said, I had to remove it a few times which I did with my usual eye make up remover and it came off cleanly.
For people who use eyeliners on a daily basis I think this would be quite a good one for them to try. It applies nicely and if you have a steady hand, evenly. The tube is sleek and thin, it dosent take up too much room in your make up bag.
