When I first opened the box containing the product I definitely got DKNY perfume vibe as the main packaging of face mask reminded me of one of their perfume bottles. You get 50g of product which is quite standard when it comes to skin care products but maybe not so much when it comes to face masks.
The scent has a slight perfumed undertone with a hint of honey. The formula itself quite thick and creamy, which is good as the instructions say to GENEROUSLY apply the mask I found myself not having to use much to cover my whole face.
Now, I have slightly sensitive skin, thanks to the chlorine we currently have in our water so when I first put this mask on my face slightly stung a bit, however after about a minute this did subside. Now I don't know if that is because of my current skin type or it is just a normal reaction to this mask but if you aren't into the slightest bit of uncomfortableness then this might not be the mask for you.
As for my results, I have only used it for a couple of weeks, and I think that a lot of the fine lines I do have do look like they have diminished a little bit. My skin was definitely a lot softer after using it and I found my moisturiser etc went on better after using it. In terms of tightening and firming my skin I think 2 weeks usage probably isn't enough to get the full effects of this product.
I had been using this product daily as there were no instructions on how many times a week to use it, but I feel that if you do have sensitive skin (or any skin type for that matter) then 2-3 times a week is probably ideal. Will continue to use it until the end of the product to see the final results and what it can do for my skin.
The masks I usually gravitate to are ones that add lots of hydration to my dehydrated skin. What appealed to me about this mask was that it was more focused on adding life to dull and stressed skin. First off the packaging is just beautiful - one of those ones that you keep on the bench. On opening the product itself is a white cream that has a faint but pleasant scent. The consistency isn't heavy - much like a night cream. It took a couple of tries to find the right amount to put on my face and I erred towards a heavier application, leaving it on for between 15-20 minutes each time. It feels cold and the active ingredients feel very slightly tingly around the nose on first application, but soon stopped. It was easy to remove with a warm washcloth. I found that my skin did look visibly brighter after each use and I was very surprised by this. My skin felt smooth and almost lightly exfoliated by the acids in the manuka honey. I was very impressed. It's now part of my routine. I will use this once a week (as I think any more would be a bit too much for the skin). I do think that this is very fairly priced. I have purchased similar sized product, honey based (but for hydration) at the same price point. I recommend this product for people that have stressed and dull skin and need a pick me up (I mean who doesn't?).
Tips: Try applying with a cat's tongue foundation brush so that it applied evenly on the skin, for ease around the nose and eyes, and so that you don't waste product.
