I really love this mask when I am in need of some serious rejuvenation. It takes some perseverance but the results are definitely worth it!
The amount of product you receive for the price is ridiculous! So much I think I could easily do a mask a week for a whole year. I mix about 2 tsp of powder with 2 and a half tsp of apple cider vinegar and then use an old foundation brush to apply.
It definitely tingles a wee bit when first applied but I have a feeling that is more to do with the acidity of the vinegar. Once it begins to harden that is when you really need to preserver. I would not reach for this mask if I was in the mood for relaxing because it seriously feels like its pulling your face completely taut. I have felt the pulsating but it was only very slight and I wouldn't describe it as uncomfortable, not as uncomfortable as the tightness you feel as the mask drys.
I don't let it dry completely because I feel like I would go insane if I waited that long but the relief you feel when you wet your face and experience the results afterwards is amazing.
It really is healing, I have pretty dry skin but also have a tendency to breakout and it pretty much restores my skin to a nice fresh normal state. I feel like this mask is going to be an essential over the winter months!
Mix this with equal parts raw apple cider vinegar and you have a glorious, soft smooth mousse to apply to your skin. One teaspoon of each is enough for your whole face. It's great to formulate your own clay mask so that you know what you're putting on your face. Does a great job at making your skin smooth and removing oil and dirt from pores.
Tips: Don't mix it with water!! The pH of the clay is too high for your skin, which is why you need to mix it with raw apple cider vinegar (order online) to neutralise the pH - mixing it with water will make it far too alkaline and harsh for your skin.
