I love a good sheet mask. I like trying out new ones and anything that says anti fatigue is right up my alley. I have a toddler and I am tired from lack of sleep.....it definitely shows!
The foil package is easy to tear open, the mask itself is absolutely drenched in product and I found it very difficult to unfold. Once I finally did I placed it on my face and it was a great fit. It feels very slimy!
It states that it cools skin down -7 degrees so I was interested to see what was going to happen. I started getting a weird sensation, it felt almost like it was burning and I will definitely say it wasn't pleasant or relaxing.
I had to remove the mask before the 15 minutes was up because I was too uncomfortable. My face was covered in product so I massaged it in. My face felt really sticky for a good 10 minutes and it didn't completely dry down. I absolutely hate that feeling.
My skin felt nice and looked plump and hydrated. Did it looks less tired......no. For me it didn't do much and I hated the whole experience. I don't recommend this mask and would never use it again. Sorry Garnier this is not a winner for me!
I've used sheet masks before, but not this particular one. I feel like the aloe vera combined with the hyaluronic acid (and whatever other magic they put in this) is a winning formula - my skin is soft and hydrated immediately afterwards (and the following day too) and my lines seem to have been plumped up rather nicely (especially the night I did the mask - wow! I was not expecting that!). The mask smells good (very natural, what you'd expect given the ingredients, ie: no chemical smell) and was easy to apply. I left it on for the specified 15 mins and it was immediately cooling (so much so that I'm sure my body temperature dropped). As an aside, I'm menopausal so this is a definite plus as I seem to be running at a higher temp than the folks around me these days - this should be marketed at menopausal women, Garnier have missed a trick there! I feel this mask would be fantastic in the summer time too, a great treat for your skin and it cools you down so it's a win/win. Most masks I've used in the past are pleasant enough but there wasn't really any visible, lasting results. I think, with the hyaluronic acid and aloe vera (which I've used for my hair in the past as it's super moisturising), and with continued regular use, I'd get quite lasting results. I'm definitely going to be trying this again.
Tips: Don't get it near your eyes - when I was trying to get the mask to sit in the right place I accidentally had it too close to one of my eyes and it did sting a little bit but my bad. Will be more careful next time! (Not enough to make my eyes water and only for a 30 seconds or so, but worth mentioning).
