I'm not a huge fan of tissue masks in general. This one didnt do anything to sell me on them. I find when doing tissue masks you have to be prepared to sit back and do nothing while they're on. No multitasking. The packaging of this is nice and fits well with the revitalift range. The mask was fairly simple to put on and not too difficult to get into place. The scent was neither great nor bad to me. I have oily skin which is prone to significant breakouts and to be honest this did nothing special for me. My skin felt nice afterwards but no huge results. My skin was a little softer but that was about it for me sadly.

Tips: Be prepared to sit back and relax without distraction.
So Sheet Masks have been coming a little more popular over the past wee while and the fact you can now buy these at your local supermarket supports this.
To be honest I think if you are going to use a sheet mask you probably need to use it more than once to see the results it promises so when reading this review bear in mind this is only from one use.
The instructions on the back were pretty self explanatory. Take it out of the packet, apply to face, remove blue film, wait 15 mins, remove and wipe the excess serum into the skin. I did all this and after the 15 minutes my skin was super soft and I'm not sure but there may had been the slightest amount of an increase of plumpness in my skin. That could be my imagination however as this was one of the effects the mask claimed to do.
There wasn't much of a scent, and it was cooling on the skin. 3 hours after using the mask my skin still feels super soft.
I think maybe using this mask maybe every week or so may be beneficial to the skin. I would be interested to try it for at least a month and see if there is any improvement with my skin.
Just for reference my skin is combination.
Tips: It is a little messy and fiddly to apply!
The packaging was definitely in keeping with the L'Oreal brand. Easy to follow instructions, although the print was very small. There was a very mild pleasant fragrance, and once I had managed to unfold the mask and work out which side to put on my face, it was fairly simple to apply. The solution felt cool and soothing on my skin, and I found it quite easy to just chill out on my bed with the mask on for the required time while watching some telly. It washed off nicely, and my skin looked pretty fab afterwards, very refreshed. I'm not sure if my skin has lifted significantly in the few days since I used the mask. I was a bit disconcerted about the amount of waste attached to this product, maybe L'Oreal should consider designing these products to be compostable or reusable, and move away from use of plastics. Overall, a fairly pleasant experience, not 100% convinced about the supposed lifting benefits of the serum and would like to see more sustainability principles factored into the product design. I would probably not buy this product in the future.
Tips: Open the packaging over the bathroom sink, there's quite a bit of serum on this mask and putting it on can leave your hands a bit messy. Also make sure long hair is tied up too, you really wouldn't want to get any hair tangled up in the mask.
The mask was very easy to apply as per the instructions on the pack. The smell was very delicate which is great for people like me who are allergic to strong fragrances. It was very hydrating, made your skin feel super soft. With only one mask you cant get the affect of the uplifting effect but I will definitely be looking out to by some of these to put them to the test
Tips: Lay down once you have mask on. If you sit or stand, the mask starts dropping off your face!!
Okay, I'm pretty experienced with sheet masks. I always have at least 8 on rotation. They're a pivotal part of my wellbeing routine. I'm so busy that even if all I do is put on a sheet mask while I'm cooking dinner, then I've done something good for myself.
My masks of choice are usually Korean, although I'm a fan of the Loreal ones as well. So I went into this review not expecting something super amazing. Boy, was I wrong!
The mask was lovely and juicy (no surprise). The eye holes didn't fit as well as I thought they would, but to be fair, I have quite a big face (let's me honest). I left it on for 15 minutes and removed it. My skin looked as I would expect. It wasn't until I was getting ready for bed around an hour later that I looked in the mirror and did a double take. I put on the second light in the bathroom. My skin looked smoother and brighter, and yes, hydrated.
When I woke up the next morning, my skin was glowing. The mask was the only thing I had changed in my routine. I can't explain it. There's something magic in that packet and I need more of it.
My verdict? I'll be buying these in bulk! Please Loreal, can you sell by the box????
Tips: Use any spare juice in the packet and rub it down your neck. It will appreciate it!
I purposely left the trialing of this product till after a dental procedure when a little bit of pampering was in order.
The easy-tear packaging these sheets come in are excellent. As they should, they open with the minimum of fuss without the need of having to scrounge around for a pair of scissors. Big points first up. Upon opening the package, it is lovely to see the tissue is absolutely covered in serum. There has been no scrimping here - I love that.
Once opened, it took me a few seconds to work out which part went on my face, and which to peel off. The instructions say the blue part peels off, but may have been better communicated that it was the textured part that was to peel off, as when the two pieces were firmly together, both looked blue. Once I worked that out, it applied beautifully and was a nice thin layer as promised which contoured to my skin easily. I loved how closely it fit around the eyes, nose, and mouth so it felt no part of my face was untouched. Again, I was pleased with the sheer amount of serum on the sheet. It allowed for an occasional massage as I awaited the fifteen minutes application. It was soothing and refreshing at the same time.
It peeled off easily, leaving a small amount of serum to massage in. One application isn't enough to be able to tell if it delivers the desired effect of lifting and toning, but it would be interesting to find out what four weeks worth does. I didn't notice any difference to my skin other than a lovely glow. The fine print says to use three times a week which seems too much of an investment to me, so I won't be following through on that, but it was certainly a nice relaxing and pampering end to my day.
Tips: Don't forget your neck once you're massaging the excess serum over your face. There is plenty to go around.
So this was a fun in lots of ways mask to try, firstly the mask is pretty well covered in serum so makes for a slightly slippery experience unfolded and applying the mask (I did have a few drips land on my t- shirt, but that just shows they didn't skimp on serum so you know your getting your monies worth!), secondly it would appear I have bigger eyes than most lol as I found the eye holes a little small for me and my eye lashes (top and bottom) would touch the mask every time I blinked. In saying that it actually didn't annoy me as I felt quiet relaxed once I had placed the mask over my whole face and lay down on the couch to rest and allowed it to do it's thing. After my 15 minutes was up and it was time to remove the mask, I was really happy that there was still a good thin layer of serum on my face to gentle massage in and I actually could spread it around my neck and décolleté area as well.(any bit helps right!)
Later the same night as using the mask I was happy to see if felt and looked nourished and happy then over the week I noticed it stayed soft and healthy and still is. I found my make up went on easy after using the mask and I just felt happy when I looked in the mirror so I will definitively be splurging on this mask again.
Tips: Make sure you open the package and apply the face mask leaning over a surface you can easily wipe clean ie a vanity or bench as they don't skrimp on serum! :D
Sheet masks have a difficult job to do- in only one use, they offer a new face sans life's trajectory and inevitable stresses. The L'Oreal Paris Revitalift Youthful Lifting Tissue Mask is promising a lot of subjective qualities that only time-travel or poorer vision can achieve- especially in fifteen minutes and with $8 (Countdown). The dropper motif on the sachet, with its dosage markers (suggesting milliliters), suggests a highly scientific (read: effective) product. I liked how thin (0.33mm) the Japanese cotton mask was, and the viscosity of the generous serve of serum (not sticky or runny). This features witch hazel, which is well-known for its firming and tightening qualities, and a unspecified "lifting serum." As a busy dry-faced thirty-five year old, I enjoyed this quality quench and didn't find the experience itchy or awkward (like some sheet masks and their unusual shapes). It had a fruity-come-floral scent, lighter than I would like but inoffensive. This was a lovely treat on my day-off and it went well with a glass of rose and a binge-watch. I would purchase again.
Tips: Squeeze out remaining serum, from sachet, and massage onto neck.
The mask comes in a easy to use package with clear instructions on how to use. Upon opening I found the mask drenched in serum and as directed placed on my face and removed the blue sheet on top. The mask fit nicely on my round face just had to adjust and pull to make it sit comfortably around the eyes and mouth area. It is quite thin and sits on really well, it has a soft pleasant smell and isn’t overpowering. I was surprised to see that even though the sheet mask was completely soaked in serum there was no dripping or messiness while I had it on. While on it had a nice cooling effect and quite relaxing and didn’t irritate my skin at all.( I have sensitive skin) Removed the sheet after 15 mins massaged the extra serum into my skin and wiped the excess off with a cotton pad. It does feel slightly tacky but that dries up pretty quickly. To be honest I didn’t really expect to see much difference with just one application but once again I was surprised. The skin around my mouth area and forehead did feel a little firm and gosh my skin definitely looked well hydrated and all this after 15mins! A definite yes from me and I would highly recommend to everyone especially those who are stretched for time and can’t really go for regular facials, this is the perfect sheet mask. Thank you BR for introducing this to me, now just have to wait to purchase the complete pack and see how regular use improves my skin.
Tips: Use the left over serum on your hands.
This is the first sheet mask I have used. The instructions were quite clear, although it does state to use three a week over a period of weeks for best results - I only used 1 so can’t say if the product provides a long term effect. I set myself up with some nice quiet time (not always easy with two toddlers) to relax listening to my tunes with the mask on, I did my pre-prep and lay on the bed with the product on my face - it was definitely relaxing, although a little different than what you get from a liquid mask, and it took a while to get used to the feeling of it on my skin. I left it on for about 25 - 30 min and was please with the way it didn’t dry out completely and it was refreshing not to have that cracking feeling of a clay/mud mask, or the tightness of a gel /peel off version. I like the smell, there is something about the witch hazel that reminds me of being a kid, and I didn’t find it overpowering. It did flex quite well but I did find myself keep dabbing it back into the creases around my nose. Afterwards my skin was definitely softer, and felt smoother - likely due to the fact the mask didn’t dry out, and I can see over an extended use it would reduce the look of fine lines as it was easily absorbed into my face. It didn’t irritate my eczema, and seems to have reduced the dry spots on my cheeks quite a bit too.
I will definitely buy a few more to see what it’s like at clearing them up over the course of a couple of weeks.
I would recommend, even if it’s just to force you to take some downtime.
