Fantasy by Britney Spears Review

I was given this as a Christmas present and was pretty excited to try. The bottle is lovely and girly and the packaging is really pretty. Unfortunately as soon as I sprayed it on myself I could tell it was way too sweet for me. After about 15 minutes I washed it off my wrist. I have given the bottle to my sister who absolutely loves it. It smells different on her than me, however I do find it too sweet even on her just not as bad.

So for those who don’t know, this fragrance was reformulated in 2009 and it was done terribly in my opinion! If you had a chance to own or smell the original formula from 2005 you will know what I’m on about. Breaks my heart! The original was a heavenly creamy captivating vanilla cupcake. Now I just find it an overpowering mess that doesn’t at all resemble fantasy.I have tried to love it but it’s just not the same, If I could ever get my hands on the original I would definitely let it take the place of my HG scent. How you can tell formulars is from the bottle, the original neck (2005) had Swarovski crystals around it the current one version doesnt.

This would be a great fragrance for a young teenage girl. Personally I found it too sickly sweet. It smelled like candy floss, which is not a bad thing, but also not my fave. Maybe I'm just too old for this? Plus I thought the bottle looked tacky and cheap. Could have made the product look way better with a nicer bottle.

The bottle looks super girlie, so it would only be fair if the fragrance was also super girlie.

I found this to be far too sweet for me. And it doesn't last all that long either. I used to use this a lot years and years ago when it first came out, but now I wouldn't touch it. Seems I've outgrown it.

It's a really nice smell for hot sunny days though, if you want something that's fun and flirty this would be awesome, but it's just too sweet for me.

I brought this fragrance on impulse after smelling it on a co-worker. It was sweet, playful, and honestly, it smelt like candy!! It is a really affordable fragrance, and so I impulsively brought it! This was one of the first fragrances that I had ever brought for myself, and I loved the playful design, it was bright pink, and covered in diamantes. I was so happy with my purchase!! I initially loved this fragrance, using it for a month, before I started regretting my impulse buy. Yes the bottle was cute, and the smell was sweet, but honestly, after using it for a long period of time, the smell was sickly sweet and smelt cheap, I actually began to get headaches as well as a churning tummy when I smelt the sickly fragrance. My 50ml bottle was quickly passed along to my sister, who loved it!! This is an affordable fragrance, and it has a sweet smell, so for those of you who like really sweet fragrances, I think this is worth a try. However, I won’t be buying this again.

Fantasy by Britney Spears continues her trend of beautiful, feminine perfumes. I purchased this as part of a Britney Spears perfume miniature set, as I loved Curious and wanted to try her other scents. I am really glad I did! Although the bottle design is lovely, very feminine and eye-catching, and really suits the perfume, the scent itself wasn't to my own personal taste. Fantasy is an incredibly sweet, fruity scent. If you do like very sweet perfumes, then I would recommend this, or as a gift for a younger girl as the perfume is long-lasting and does stay on throughout the day without reapplying.

I had this perfume a couple of years back. I wore it as a day fragrance but I found it way to sweet for my liking. It's a lovely smell but I would not recommend spraying a lot on at once. I would recommend it for any girls under the age of 15 however that love extra sweet smelling perfumes

I own the EDP of this (though I'm pretty sure there isn't an EDT available) I've used this scent since I was a teenager, and absolutely loved it's sweet, candy-like scent, sort of similar to Mariah Carey's range, but possibly not as fresh. The scent lingers for ages when sprayed on clothing, but isn't as long-lasting as a higher end perfume on skin. The bottle is super cute, although it's a bit young. Unfortunately, it's distinct scent is really popular, and so it's sort of lost its uniqueness.

I find this perfume strong and sweet with a lot of sillage. I much prefer the Midnight Fantasy as the sugar is tempered by berries. However, it does have a distinct scent, this is definitely not generic and boring. The scent will last 3 hours or so and is kind of linear, the opening notes stays pretty much the same.

This gorgeous perfume bottle looks fabulous with it's pink Swarovski crystals, perfect for any girl! The smaller size is great to have in your handbag for a night out. This perfume has yummy hints of kiwi, quince and other fruity scents. Senusal and flirty, it's great for a first date or to wear out on a girl's night.
