I will say before I write much more that I don't suffer from Acne but after hearing great reviews from friends I decided this was worth grabbing as its so affordable and I love it. I love how this foundation just glides on and such a little amount gives such a good coverage. I would say medium to full coverage. the lasting power on this foundation is awesome I wore it for a good 8 hour day and gym ontop of that and got home and it was still looking great. overall I think this is deffinatly worth a shot and for the price you cant go wrong.

I purchased this online from eyeslipsface.com when they had a recent 50% off sale, so picked this up for the ridiculously low price of $3 in the shade 'Beige'. I had previously seen Shaaanxo use it in a tutorial and it looked amazing, plus I was tempted by the thought of a more affordable alternative to my much loved Clinique Anti-Blemish Solutions foundation for my oily, acne-prone skin.
The packaging for e.l.f.'s Studio Acne Fighting Foundation is actually really similar to that of Clinique - a plastic bottle with large, screw on cap. I really like this style of packaging for liquid foundation for several reasons; it allows you to see how much product you have left, it's a good size and shape for storage and travel, the cap is secure enough that it won't come loose within a bag and the nozzle is perfect for dispensing as much or as little product as you like.
This foundation is specifically formulated to fight acne and because of the ingredients used it does have a slight smell similar to that of the e.l.f. zit zapper, which may be the camphor, but it isn't strong or unpleasant.
The formula itself is amaaazzzing, thick and creamy. I applied it after priming with e.l.f.'s tone-adjusting mineral primer using a flat-topped kabuki brush to buff it into my skin. I found this method gave the most even finish due to the formula being so thick. A small amount of product gave me full coverage which really did disguise redness, blemishes and uneven skintone. The finish itself was natural and after setting it with powder and setting spray it lasted all day.
I can't judge to whether it helped prevent or treat acne as I normally use acne-fighting products as part of my usual skincare routine, but it didn't break my skin out which is a definate bonus!
I am SUPER impressed with this foundation, so much so that it will most likely replace my beloved Clinique as my go-to on days where I want more full coverage foundation. This is such an amazing price, and I highly highly recommend it!
Tips: This sets quit quickly, so use a kabuki brush to really buff it in for the most even finish.
What can I say apart from this foundation ROCKS!! I was a bit iffy about it being so cheap, and thought there was no way this foundation is going to cover anything and it would probably only last a few hours. This foundation has been the best $9 I've ever spent. It covers everything, and I mean to the point where concealer is not necessary! One layer and then go in a second time to touch up a few problem areas and voila! Perfect flawless skin. And best off all it lasts all day and doesn't break you out because of the acne fighting properties. I wouldn't say it has made any acne better but it hasn't worsened it like most foundations do! The colour range is pretty limited but there is both pink and yellow tone, and while you may not get a perfect match you can get close enough and then add bronzer to the face and/or neck. Great packaging, easy squeeze tube and it is good for travelling-no messy bottles! I use this daily and will continue to do so until it is discontinued, which hopefully never happens!
Absolutely love the value for money with this foundation! Purchased from e.l.f website for only $3!!! What a bargain!
The finish was wonderful, and the coverage was fantastic, I don't particuly suffer with acne so haven't noticed any difference there but very impressed with this product :)
This foundation really does offer full coverage, you could probably wing this without using a concealer. I don't agree with it being light, it's pretty heavy and I always have to set it with powder to soften it so it doesn't look like I applied 5 layers of foundation. I use it in the shade beige and I like using it if I am having a breakout because it helps a lot with not aggravating the acne and the salicylic acid helps with healing of the acne so the ingredients are good for the skin.
There is a fair amount of product in the packaging especially in comparison with the price, I paid $3 on the american elf site and had a friend bring it over with her from her travels. The packaging is a little squeeze tube and the consistency is not runny so you don't tend to waste a lot of product.
It's quite heavy coverage so I leave this for really bad skin days.
Purchased this in the shade Buff from the ELF website, unfortunately the colour s a bit too dark for me so would be more of a summer/self-tan colour. Apart from that I was very impressed with the coverage and the fact that a little goes such a long way. I do not have acne prone skin but I prefer a high coverage due to redness/freckles and found I only needed one layer to hide all my imperfections
Tips: Use a good primer as I found it was a bit drying on my skin and wasn't blending too well, but with adding a bit more moisture this problem was resolved
Had to give this a try with all the buzz surrounding it and I am absolutely a fan. I have combination skin with some rosacea on my cheeks and like a flawless finish so for years i've been using moisture mists beauty cake which is good for a full coverage but I get so shiny towards the end of the day so I thought I would give this a try and for $16 including postage why not.
I purchased in ivory which is the lightest shade I think. Doing some research lots of people were saying the shades were quite dark so I went lighter than the shade I first thought I would be which was a good choice for me.
At first I thought the bottle was tiny but for the price definitely still worth it and the amount I have to use is crazy the tiniest amount covers a big area and with absolutely flawless coverage no concealer needed. I found it long lasting and I didn't get my usual shinyness towards the end of the day. I don't have a problem with acne so not sure how well it works for that.
A must try if you like a full coverage
What can I say, expect this foundation is fabulous!! I saw this on Shaaanxo's youtube (I hope I spelt it right!) and just knew I had to try it out for myself.
Provides flawless full courage like I've never experienced before in a foundation. And finally a colour that actually exactly matches my skin! It's like a match made in heaven (I'm using the shade porcelain). I have really bad acne on my chin at the moment as well as redness so it's really hard to cover but this makes my skin look great, you wouldn't even know I have problem skin. It's the raised bumps giving it away.
The bottle is way smaller than I expected it to be but you only need a little bit anyway because it's spreads out real easily. The texture is thick and creamy and is completely build-able, I found that if I'm having a bad skin day I'll add a bit more courage but It doesn't make me look cakey or fake.
When I first used It I did feel a slight tingle because of the tree tea I'm guessing but I don't feel that anymore.
It's called acne fighting so I'd expect it to help my acne and it does have some good ingredients but it doesn't help heal my acne whatsoever. But then I don't exactly mind that because it covers so well and just knowing that has those ingredients in there anyway is a big plus so it's not going to make my skin any worse.
It's easy to get the product out too :) Almost forgot, this lasts all day, but if I'm touching my face alot like I have a cold or something it will wear. It always transfers to my clothes a bit if not careful! (that's why I get fully dressed before doing my make-up).
I really love this foundation, while it hasn't helped to improve my acne, I feel like the salicylic acid and tea tree in it helps to keep it from becoming worse. Since it is a foundation aimed towards acne prone skin, it has a great coverage. The texture of the foundation is thick and creamy, and a little goes a very long way. It does last a long time, but I have a bad habit of touching my face so it tends to wear off a bit.
Before trying this I was worried that it would sting around the eye area, but since it is such a small amount of salicylic acid, it isn't uncomfortable at all which is great.
I got the lightest shade I could get from the website I ordered from (beautyjoint.com) which was in Porcelain (I believe there is a lighter shade out) but it's still very dark on me, so I've tried it on it's own a few times blending it down my neck, but I generally mix it with a white foundation so it matches.
Love this foundation! Medium - full coverage which I was expecting due to it being an acne foundation. It covers all my redness (with help from green concealer) but still looks lovely on the skin. Haven't noticed it 'fighting' any acne at all but I don't care about that. Extremely recommend this foundation! I will be re-purchasing and re-purchasing. Also, Shaaanxo did a first impression of this product which you should all check out because its exactly how this works!
Tips: I recommend getting 2 colours and mixing them together to get the est colour for your face. Also use a beauty blender for best coverage :)
