I am just amazed to use Maybelline Superstay 24hr Full Coverage Foundation in Golden shade. It definitely does what it says. The shade is just perfect for my skin tone. It is lightweight and can be used in day time as well or in a regular use. I used it without applying my concealer on pigmented areas and it actually covered all flaws. I intentionally applied it in the morning when it was hot to see how it goes when I will go out and I was surprised to see my make up did not melt, no cracks/flakes, no patches and I still had the natural look after I came back home. This is something I have been looking for and luckily I got it. I was also fearful for having itchy skin to apply it in day time as I normally experience and avoid applying foundation in summers in day time but I did not feel it although I had a little sweat on my face which I pat dry without having a stain on my tissue.

Tips: Always check for correct foundation shade to avoid disappointment and if there is any adverse reaction, stop using it.
This has got to be my new go to foundation. Stays on all day with. Perfect coverage and good match to my skin. I put it on before work and still going strong when I get home. Usually with my other foundation I could touch my face and it comes off in my hand. This foundation doesn't do this. Definitely recommend this foundation.
I hadn’t tried a long-lasting foundation before, so I was looking forward to this trial.
I tried applying this with and without primer and they had differing results. I also applied with both a sponge and foundation brush, and the brush was by far the best application so my recommendation with this product is to use a good foundation brush.
I selected the true ivory shade. It was a pretty good colour match for my skin tone, especially going into autumn/winter. I would possibly consider buying the next shade up for summer.
No Primer Application: Applying just over my everyday moisturiser, I had a lot of trouble blending the foundation. It looked patchy, and had stripes of product, and I had to dab over and over to get the coverage and evenness. I felt like I was using a lot of product to get it looking just right, and so I felt I’d caked it a little. The finish looked like it was more of a medium coverage. I had a couple of blemishes that hadn’t covered as well as I’d hoped so I added concealer. It wasn’t a completely matte finish, but I wasn’t shiny either. It lasted well through the day however, and the only visible fade was towards the end of the day around my nose and chin. I still looked like I had my makeup on, rather than my usual face fade
Using a Primer. Again, applied with the brush, but this time it went on so easily and evenly, and had a heavier coverage. I could very quickly apply the product, and blemishes were well covered, and my eye area didn’t need additional concealer as that also had very good coverage. It was a very matte full coverage finish. I was expecting the wrinkles around the eyes particularly to look filled with product and look more prominent, but they didn’t seem more visible than they normally would with other foundations. With the primer, the product lasted exceptionally well through the day – and only very minimal wear around nose and chin again – much less than without primer however.
With this product, by early evening my skin felt quite tight and a little dry, and I felt I had to remove it and moisturise.
This foundation I’m not sure on for every day, mum-on-the-run use, as it is a heavier coverage/look than I normally go for. That said, it’s certainly a fantastic long-lasting foundation like it says, which I love the idea of, as I only apply makeup in the morning and that’s me for the whole day. I would definitely use this foundation for occasions where I wanted more a more made-up, matte makeup look that I needed to last, and it’s definitely got the stay-put factor that they promise.
Tips: - use a primer for the best application and finish
This product was incredible. I got the True Ivory colour which, unlike most foundations, was true to it's label. I think I will save this foundation for the winter season when my skin returns to it's pale state. I have many freckles and this foundation covered every single last one and also covered any redness in my skin! It was easily applied and set easily, it was not at all sticky. Better yet, my bronzer slid over the foundation easily and blended in very well. The only downfall is that my breakthrough shine on my nose still won against this foundation, reducing its "Superstay" effect.
Tips: Ensure to set with a powder to reduce any break through shine if you tend to have more oily skin.
This gives full coverage, blends easily, and feels light and never tight. A little pump (I love pump applicators- less messy, more hygienic, keeps product fresher) goes a long way. I got a shade that, truthfully and very unusually, was a little too light for my very pale skin(NC10 usually, 03 True Ivory here). This is pretty unheard of for me as I always, in consultations, get matched to the lightest hue. Never mind, with a touch of bronzer (I use anyway) and blush, I reach room temperature and I don't look like I work at Hot Topic. My aging yet acne-besmirched face saw no streaking nor any blotchiness- none after application anyhow. I have facial hyperhidrosis which means I sweat buckets- not ideal for a make-up lover. I have tried many foundations, and even a fancy toner used on Broadway stars, and Superstay is by far the most resilient formula. With other products, my make-up has melted off, resulting in uneven coverage and many orange-tainted napkins. Not Superstay- it is super for a sweaty betty.
Tips: Don't slop this on- it is very effective so you should use sparingly and blend in as you go. It is very malleable; it doesn't settle and cake.
I was excited to try this product and thought I’d close well with the shade Light Beige. However, on using the product it was too light for me, but may be better during the winter months. A little goes a long way. I found the consistency much heavier than my usual foundation, and it was much harder to apply. The end result was fairly matte and just a little chalky. On the plus side it definitely had staying power. Bottom line...it didn’t think it enhanced my complexion and wouldn’t use it again.
Tips: Choose your shade carefully.
I went for Nude Beige - it was a touch light but the undertones were spot on, so I'll definitely use this as my tan fades!
The glass bottle is very sleek, the white lid matches the Superstay Lip Ink.
I had no trouble applying this with a blender, brush or my fingers, whatever way I applied it was easy to blend to a smooth, even finish. The finish is matte, but it isn't flat. Even pre-highlight, my skin still looked alive, it isn't a matte finish that sucks the life out of your look.
Sans primer, but on a well moisturised face, this foundation lasted the day at work - and it didn't sweat off after my evening walk. I haven't left it on for 24hours (I love my pillowcase too much to risk it) but 14 hours is the most I'm ever gonna ask of a foundation - my all-nighters are way behind me!
I actually felt after wearing this my usual oily spots (t-zone) were less oily, but my dry cheeks also felt a little more dry. So you'll definitely want to pay attention to moisturising before and after using.
All up, I think the price is great, the product lasts the day, is economical to use, and leaves an even, matte finish. If you're after a matte foundation, what more could you want?!
Tips: Moisturise, moisturise, moisturise.
I really liked this foundation. I usually wear a BB cream or just concealor so wearing foundation everyday was a bit daunting. I loved the light weight feel of this but it provides more coverage than my BB cream and concealor - which I love! It doesn't crease which is a major bonus. Easy to apply, I used a sponge and brush, and awesome to layer up for fuller coverage.
Tips: Set with a powder to make it last longer.
I have high foundation expectations. My expectations for a long wearing full coverage foundation are even higher. I had a super positive experience with the Maybelline fit me matte and poreless so I had VERY high expectations for this foundation.
For starters thank god Maybelline has answered our prayers and given us a pump!! the only hassle with fit me is the lack of pump, so I am loving the fact that this foundation has a pump. The bottle is glass, feels good, looks good. Packaging is a tick.
The colour. I am very fair and drugstore brands usually do not go super fair. I was prepared to be wearing an orange foundation even though I got the lightest shade but Maybelline has managed to nail it again with this colour range for pale skin! (can not comment on dark colours as not sure how they match.)
This foundation claims to be full coverage and long wearing. Would I say this is the fullest coverage I have ever used, no but it is definitely a medium - full coverage buildable. I like the coverage for this, I can cover any redness or blemishes that may be happening and I don't feel like I need to add any extra coverage on top.
The formula I found was quite matte. I have combination skin so this was working well for the majority of my face although there were a few dry patches that it clung to slightly but not noticeable enough to bother me. This foundation definitely stayed matte for most of the day and was not sticky at all.
Wear time, it definitely lasted on me. It claims 24 hours but I didn't wear it for 24 hours because who wants to do that, but I wore it for a solid 14 hours and after a bit of powdering I would still have been happy to go out again with the foundation looking fine.
Overall I think this foundation is really good. It lasts a long time. It has a really good coverage. It has a good pump and packaging and its easy to get. I don't think there is anything I would change about this foundation, Maybelline has stepped up their foundation game in the last year or so and I am not disappointed in this foundation at all.
Tips: Blend relatively fast as its fast setting
I tried to select my colour very carefully for the trial hoping to get as close to the colour I’m Currently using (and sadly running out of) but I was severely unsuccessful. When I opened the package I thought “oh dear that’s awfully dark..oh well..let’s give it a crack” On the pro side, a little went a LONG way. A half pump resulting in a 5mm drop would have done my entire face in a shade of brown I can only describe as umpa-lumpa burnt orange. A nice light consistency if that what youre looking for. However if you want coverage this is not the product for you. It gives a very transparent layer that I’d have to say gave my skin a peachy smooth feel. As for the superstay aspect..the product quite stubbornly stained my fingers orange so I’m confident it will stay put for quite some time.
Tips: Try for your correct shade before buying if possible. And make sure you have wipes or a good cleanser to remove.
