I've recently started trying more glowy/sheer foundations since I've always worn full coverage foundation and bought a bottle of Nars Sheer Glow. It is definitely a light/medium coverage foundation which you can build up if needed. I found that it didn't have the staying power that other foundations have though however this might just be me! Even though it didn't stay on as long as I would have liked, it applied very smoothly and I did like the look it gave my skin. Definitely would try it again.

first thing, nars sheer glow ISNT SHEER or GLOW-y. however it is still a lovely foundation, it has really nice coverage, a teeny bit buildable. the consistency of it is like a bit thicker than a runny egg yolk if you get what i mean haha. sadly as it is getting into summer the shade i was using before now doesnt suit me :(
Bought this because Pixiwoo was raving about how you could get a flawless yet natural complexion and I have to agree. I use a the Real Techniques expert face brush and it glides on like a dream. I feel extra fancy when I pull this out. Only downer is that it doesn't come with a pump however its sold separately... So overall I can't complain. <3 HG item
I was first hesitant because it cost me $90 at the closest place I could find it. But it was worth it. It always gives a lovely coverage that is easily buildable, I often use it with a flat kabuki brush or a stippling brush for the best effect. I've never had any problems and have been using it for over 6 months as my main foundation.
I found this foundation so perfect when I lived in England. I used it for years and absolutely swore by it. It gives a lovely coverage, gave me flawless skin all day, and made my skin radiant. I also tried the matte version which wasn't for me - made my skin look so so dull. Anyway, since moving to NZ I have switched to Cliniques CC cream as I found the Nars too heavy for the warmer climate. It made me feel 'caked' in foundation and if you're in the sun and get warm it can go really shiny. Maybe I'll switch back though, come winter this side of the globe! Overall, a great foundation, lovely coverage but dries quickly so you need to blend it fast. This is beneficial though is you have any pimples or problem areas as you can let it thicken a minute and the coverage is thicker over redness, and the staying power of this foundation is great. Flawless skin, morning til night.
Tips: Great foundation but wear something lighter in warm weather. Apply wth a foundation brush as opposed to finger tips for better, smoother application
I recently purchased this product in the colour 'Deuville', i always wanted this foundation because every beauty blogger seemed to be raving about it and when i finally got it i had mixed feelings. Don't get me wrong i do really like it but i think this definitely not glowy on its own but matched with the right primer it could be. If you're like me and aren't looking for a matte finish then maybe investing in a good skin illuminating or light reflecting primer will give this foundation the extra glow that will leave you looking flawless.
Tips: I recommend this for people with dry to normal skin. Pair with a good primer and maybe a dewy finishing spray for a flawless finish.
If you are willing to shell out the cash for a decent foundation which is pale enough and the right tone then you can't go wrong with Nars Sheer glow - Siberia and Mont Blanc are extremely pale shades with neutral to yellow bases which are hard to find in most makeup brands - infact I can't find a match in Estee Lauder, MAC, Lancome or Clinique so that is really saying something.
Tips: This is a sheer makeup - the name says it all, don't go expecting full coverage from this one its lovely if you want a light coverage with no cakey-ness.
I try my best to stay away from high end products because it won't be good for my bank account and there are some good drug store products out there that do a better job for your skin then the higher end ones. This however! blew me away, I'm a Rimmel Foundation or Loreal True match girl so I was a little hesitant but it was new years eve so I had to go with something special. I wore my sisters Nars Sheer Glow foundation and the application was so easy, it glides on my skin effortlessly and it left a flawless finish. I didn't need to use too much of it and it gave be great coverage. It felt very light on my skin it gave me a natural finish, I might just have to treat myself this month by giving myself a 6month early birthday present hehe.
I had lusted after this foundation for so long, and finally bought it after colour testing at Mecca Cosmetica. Mecca only had Sheer Matte (no thank you) so I wasn't able to try Sheer Glow with them.
Sheer Glow isn't sheer, but I do think it's quite glowy! The shade Sibera matches me perfectly, so if you're pale and warm toned, I highly recommend trying this foundation!
This is quite pricey, so get colour tested first if you can! For me, it's totally worth the money to get a product that is the right colour for me, with great coverage and consistency!
Tips: Use a damp beauty blender to melt the product into your skin and create a flawless base!
This is my perfect foundation, I'll never use anything else again (well, until I find something even better).
It isn't particularly sheer OR glowy, but it is a very good medium- to full-coverage foundation that doesn't look heavy or cakey.
I dot this around my face with my fingers and then blend in with a buffing brush or a beauty blender sponge. It works well with all forms of application.
You can mix in a liquid highlighter to give this more of a glow.
It stays on ALL day and doesn't wear off or become patchy. I have oily skin and I do sometimes need to powder near the end of the day but nothing major!
Tips: Apply it with your (clean) fingers - Francois Nars developed it to be applied that way.
