Shade range looks ok, typical of NZ ranges it doesn't have much choice for darker tones. In fact it's the quite narrow range that led to me not giving this a perfect score.

Now will you need 35hours of wear? Would you want to not wash your face for over a day? Probably not, but hey the option is nice to have right? Even this tired old mum might get invited to a non-stop weekend rave again!

Rimmel's 35HR Lasting Finish Foundation claims to be sleep proof. SLEEP-PROOF. So what's a reviewer to do? I put my white pillowcases on the line and I put Rimmel to the ultimate test.

This foundation has a really lightweight formula that remains breathable even after hours of wear It doesn't transfer and it doesn't cake or dry out.

This foundation truly lives up to its name, delivering a steadfast finish that doesn't budge, smudge, or compromise comfort.

Rimmel's 35HR Lasting Finish Foundation isn't just a makeup must-have for long days; this is easy to remove with a typical makeup remover and would be a go-to for night's out or shorter periods of time.

I found it easiest to apply with a sponge. I liked how it glided over my moisturised skin and how it created a lovely canvas for concealer, blush and highlighter. It's a really lovely product.

But back to the burning question - did it hold up even through a night's sleep? In short, yes! I put this foundation to the ultimate test by wearing it to bed, and I woke up with surprisingly flawless skin, and crisp, white pillowcases

This foundation comes in a cute glass bottle with a plastic pump top. It has subtle Rimmel branding and is quite attractive.

The foundation is of medium consistency - not runny nor thick and gluggy. It has a light pleasant scent. My shade is 100 Ivory which is a good shade for my skin. It applies easily and evenly and as it isn't thick, it doesn't cake. It stays on evenly throughout the day.

I like that it is vegan and cruelty free and has SPF20. I haven't tried sleeping or showering with it, but I wouldn't do either of those with any other foundation either.

I wouldn't say my skin looks radiant but it looks clear and even and that is great. It is $20 at Chemist Warehouse which is a great price.

I will continue to use it and would buy it. I do recommend trying it.

I love a foundation trial so was super stoked to be chosen for this, thanks BR! I have fair skin so chose the shade 100 Ivory. I have dry skin that can be sensitive, I get redness particularly on my cheeks and I get hormonal breakouts.

This foundation has a lot of claims! Sleep-proof, waterproof, crease-resistant and transfer-resistant just to name a few. I definitely don't go to bed with make up on and don't recommend it so didn't test out the sleep proof lol.

Before applying i prepped my skin well, cleansed, moisturised then primed and i applied using a wet beauty blender. It went on really well and didn't sit on top of my skin. Colour match was spot on! Coverage is more medium on my skin which I liked but I think you could get more coverage not using a wet sponge. It didn't look cakey and made my skin look healthy. It covered a spot I had well and my redness was gone. It feels very light on the skin.

The first day I used it I really put it to the test! It was a stinking hot day and I did yard work so really worked up a sweat. When I went inside to look I was surprised how good it still looked! It hadn't slid around my face or gone patchy at all, I was really impressed.

This wears so well throughout the day, I don't find I have to do any touch ups. It doesn't settle into any lines or accentuate my dry skin. I use micellar water to remove it and it comes off with ease. So does it live up to its claims.....yes!!! As for the 35hr wear I will leave that upto the young ones haha! This is an awesome foundation and I love it, it is going to be fantastic this Summer. Highly recommend!

The colour was a little warmer toned than expected for a shade advertised as neutral undertones (sesame), though it does end up more neutral on the skin than it looks in the bottle. I would definitely recommend swatching in store, I think the online swatches are tending a bit dark.

The consistency is pretty liquidy which blends out nicely. I got decent coverage with a thin layer, and it was buildable up to more full cover. Texture looks good on the skin, not cakey and not immediately clogging my pores. The finish is pretty matte even without setting powder. A comfortable wear, not sticky or drying.

I did a couple of test runs with it to see how long it would last.

Day 1 Applied 11.20am with no primer or setting powder. 2pm: creasing a bit around the eyes and oxidising back to warm toned a little bit 5pm: some fading I tend to get breakouts with full coverage but nothing from this the next day.

Day 2 Applied 12.55 with primer and setting 5.30: fading around the nose 7pm: getting shiny 10pm: a lot of fading

I'm past my days of staying up for 35 hours in a row but I'm not confident this would last 35 hours.

Full coverage lightweight foundation....this foundation is lightweight full coverage I did not think anywhere near. If you have used the original that was FULL coverage or buildable full coverage at the least. The old version I used all the time but as I have got a bit older I noticed that it did sink into lines and was just not looking as flattering on my skin because the formula is alot thicker and creamer. I actually dont agree with any of the claims of this foundation its almost like it has been mixed up with another product released its odd. This is light to medium coverage at most does not build well, not the longest of wearing it will last me a good 6 hours before looking patchy and can get a bit drying through the day I think if my skin was better hydated it would last a bit nicer not so much longer, I have more dry to normal skin. Definitely not transfer resistant and will settle into lines over time (which is normal we can't help where our skin decides to crease) I just think the claims are not at all what you get. However in saying this I actually really like this product its so much nicer on my skin than the original and if this had been marketed as a light to medium coverage I would buy this but if you were looking at wanting a full coverage foundation I think you would be annoyed at the claims on this. In my opinion this is a beautiful lightweight, light buildable natural coverage foundation that is fantastic for everyday wear. The colour range is great and love the added skin benefits this will be a go to for me in summer. I have the shade 203 true beige which is very orange its quite dark on me but I think if I had a better shade I'd love this even more. I just think Rimmel are marketing this to the wrong audience, full coverage foundation wearers want full coverage but the people who would love this may not even try it just because it says it's full coverage. It's just a bit of a missed opportunity for the brand such a good product if you know what your getting. I hope they keep the original and rebrand this one as it's lighter more skin loving sister.

I don't know why I haven't been a fan of Rimmel but I love this foundation. Never have to touch it up and have already brought this but in a darker shade as the one for this review was a tad lighter but could be good for winter. Goes on well and doesn't smear off when I touch my face. Even the hubby loves it and doesn't go all cakey or look thick like other foundations do

I am using Vanilla shade and find this colour blends into my face perfectly.

I use a primer before applying the foundation with my sponge, the foundation spreads easily and evenly over my face with excellent coverage and finish

I’m not sure that the foundation stays fresh for up to 35 hours, as it is dulling by the end of my day, though this is still a good timeframe!

It’s great to have another layer of SPF - SPF 20.

Unfortunately, I found this foundation magnified my pores so I won’t be using this again. I believe this is more of my skin type than a fault of the product.

I had high hopes for this product. It sounded amazing and too good to be true... And unfortunately it was too good to be true.

I did my normal skin care base of moisturizer and primer then applied the product. It didn't take very well to my skin. It was patchy and very hard to build up a full coverage. After trying with a foundation brush and also a sponge, I set the foundation with a powder and when on with my day.

It did feel nice and light on the skin. It had a smooth appearance but that's where the positives stopped. Only an hour or 2 later I noticed it was sitting weird and made all my pores stand out way more than normal. A lot had appeared to of dissappeared.

I was extremely disappointed with the product. I will not use again or purchase myself.
