This was my first product from wet and wild and loved the price! also like how its meant to look good in photos under various lights. Every youtuber was raving about this so I picked it up, its not bad and for the price its an okay foundation but it didn't sit nicely on my skin it always looked cakey and patchy - especially when I'd fake tan and use a darker shade. It looked ok in photos but in some it still looked off. I have normal to slightly dry skin and this made my skin feel quite dry.

Tips: Not a fan of the darker shades in the range.
I have recently fallen in love with this foundation and it has quickly become my go-to. I've bought this about 3 times now and absolutely love that it only costs $13.00 at Farmers which is so amazing, especially if you are anything like me and use foundation daily!
The formula is quite nice, definitely more of the matte side but doesn't leave me looking or feeling dry. I've found that some other matte foundations dry quickly and are hard to apply as they set so quick, but that definitely isn't the case with this, I usually apply with a brush around my face and then pat it all down with a beauty blender for the perfect finish. The coverage I would say is medium but is 100% buildable to more.
The only thing I don't like about this is the scent, it has a very strong smell (like paint or something), but I've started to get used to that now and it doesn't last all day, just as I am applying it.
I love the glass bottle that it comes and and I love that it is square and not round so it doesn't roll around in my makeup draw. It does come with a plastic spatula which I don't mind, but when it starts to get to the bottom I find I need to start tipping the foundation out rather than scooping it.
This foundation has had a lot of hype on YouTube and for the price of course I had to try it. I picked it up at Farmers for $13 and for a large glass jar is pretty good value. The smell is pretty intense and is very chemically but doesn’t last on the skin. It goes on well and initially looks pretty good, not too matte but good for my combo skin. As the day wore on it started to separate on my skin but only a little bit and with a little powder over the top (when this happens) it can be fixed. The colour range is good and can be purchased anywhere Wet N Wild is stocked but even though it was pretty decent I just didn’t love it. If I really needed to buy a cheaper foundation I would purchase this again and it’s good for the lighter makeup days but I won’t be rushing out to replace it.
I bought this foundation after reading a good review online. It was $12.99 at Farmers. I’ve been wearing a Clinique foundation that I’d made last years (I know that’s bad!), but can’t stretch to that again so was looking for an affordable alternative. I can’t comment on the photo finish properties, that’s not why I purchased it. I bought the Golden Beige shade. After reading other reviews, I went back to sniff it and yes, it does have a fairly strong odour, but I honestly didn’t notice that when I first used it. The little spatula was handing for dabbing on, then I blended with my fingers. It was easy to blend and didn’t settle into my fine lines and gave a good light cover evening out my skin well. It’s not a heavy coverage, which is fine with me, but might not give enough coverage for some. I applied a little powder over the top to the areas that tend to shine, and found that it lasted well over the day. It was easy to remove with a Micellar water cleanser. All up, l’m really happy and would definitely buy it again.
Tips: Don’t worry about the smell...it doesn’t last.
I've been looking for a new inexpensive foundation that I could use interchangeably with my other foundations, I kept seeing this mentioned on one of my favourite YouTubers, Tati's channel and I thought that I would give it a go.
Unfortunately, Farmers were sold out of my shade ($13.99 in stores) but I managed to find it on an international site called Beauty Bay for $11AUD (so approx. the same).
I really like this product, I wasn't expecting much for the price but I'm really taken by how easily it blended and how buildable it was.
The downfall for me was that it's not as full coverage as I would like (in one application), however, you can build it up pretty nicely, I also didn't like the weird stick applicator thing.
I never wear foundation but I needed one for an occasion and bought this due to the price! It covered really well, I would say medium and definitely buildable upon that. Average colour selections. The applicator is a paddle which I found difficult to use. It lasted all day through the muggy weather, some creases by the end of the day but that could have been all the laughing and smiling.
Tips: Start off with a small amount and build up from there. I feel like this could get quite cakey very quickly.
When I saw Jeffrey Star review this, I knew I had to try it & I was so glad I did! Value for money, amazing product that holds its own against higher end foundations boasting the same results. Holds up well on my oily skin, even in the summer heat!
Wow, when I saw the price of this, I'll be honest my expectations weren't that highest. But after just 1 use of this foundation I am HOOKED. Not only is my wallet happy, but my face is too! Such a flawless finish, light weight coverage but is build able for sure. I can easily get a full coverage look without looking cakey/ thick. This is now my go to foundation out of everything :)
Tips: Personally I think it applies better with a sponge than a brush.
Trying to get into the whole foundation thing so picked this up on a shopping haul. $13 is super affordable. I shade matched online in advance and have to say this is a pretty good match. (Desert Beige) Even though it's affordable I still think it has nice packaging. Glass with a black top lid. Has a spatula type applicator that i apply to spots on my face before blending in.
I'm not a full cover queen so have never tried to build up the foundation, I prefer a natural type look. I like the result and find it to be flattering and complimentary, not cakey. It does have a scent, it's a bit offputting but you don't smell it after applying it. Can use other make up products on top of this and have no problems. Blends out easily with a brush (don't know about a blender as I don't use them)
I am happy with this product and would repurchase again in future. Great starter foundation if you are just getting into base products.
I’ve been using this product on and off for over a year and it’s one I’d happily repurchase for the summer time. I bought this for $USD4.99 from the Wet n Wild website (using a forwarding address) before the brand was available in NZ. I mainly bought this because I’ve been haunted by my pics where there is horrendous flashback. I bought the shade Caramel and in summer it’s perfect but I need to go down a shade in winter.
It comes in a sturdy glass jar which fits in the palm of my hand along with a plastic spatula applicator. I’m not too fond of the applicator because as you start to near the end of the product it’ll take more than just a spatula to get the product at the bottom.
It’s a liquid formula that’s not too runny and doesn’t dry too quickly so that you have enough time to spread the product over your face. It provides some coverage which you can build up so for people like myself that are trying to go for a more natural look this would be perfect.
When I first apply the product (I dot my fingers with the spatula – that’s how minimal I’m going with my makeup) it doesn’t look too promising. The shade and finish tends to look a little off at the start but once it’s blended in it seems to work with the warmth of my skin as well as the oils to settle nicely into my skin.
The finish leans more towards a natural finish that is not overly matte. By the 6th hour it’s only just starting to take on a more dewy finish which I can extend if I set my face with powder at the start. The foundation photographs beautifully with no flashback just a natural looking face of makeup. Note that I've only taken pics with Apple/Samsung phones and Canon camera.
For the price point and how well it performs on my oily skin I would recommend this to those going for makeup with some coverage and wanting a night of photos that won’t haunt them.
