I bought this perfume on the recommendation of a lovely sales assistant at a dutyfree shop in Brisbane airport. And I'm glad I did. From the bottle (which is refillable) to the scent, everything appealed.
It's a very distinctive perfume too - two men have asked me if I'm wearing Angel, then remarked it's their favourite perfume on a woman. Which I guess is a good thing!
Currently I'm taking a break from Angel (I bought the new Ingrid Starnes perfume - divine!) but will return to it again in winter.
Angel was the perfume that started the use of gourmand notes in perfumes. It has held its appeal over time as it does this better than other fragrances.
Other than being well blended and unique smelling, Angel has amazing longevity and sillage. These qualities give it a big tick in my book of what I look for in a scent.
It is a heavy scent, so it is more ideal for winter rather than warmer climates.
Tips: I have read mixed opinions of this online so would recommend testing this before investing in a larger bottle. 'Stitch Brand No 4', alternative to Angel, is a dead ringer for Angel. This doesn't have any lasting power though is a good tester if you want to know what to expect from Angel
