I got this perfume in a sample set from Farmers, variations of which they do every year around Christmas. The set comes with 10 sample sized perfumes and a voucher to redeem for one of the perfumes in a full size (usually 30ml). I bought this to get out of my comfort zone somewhat with perfume as I rotate between two favourites, one of which was included in the set. I have in the past been pleasantly surprised by perfumes when I have put looks aside (I always judge a perfume by the bottle, bad I know), so I set about testing each sample.
Each sample is from 0.8 -1.0 ml, which I found enough for about a week of wear. I’m quite picky about what I do and don’t like, and first impressions are important for a perfume!
I was pleasantly suprised by this - I found it to be fresh and floral, but not sickly sweet, of which I am not a fan. I couldn't detect the pear note that is meant to be present, though I could definitely smell the floral middle and vanilla base. It's quite a light scent so would be appropriate for most workplaces, and good in summer when you don't want anything too heavy.
Perfumes and I have a love-hate relationship. I love them, but they react in strange and unusual ways with my body chemistry, so it's always a bit of a lottery as to what you're going to get.
That's why I love the Pleats Please perfume. It smells just as good on my skin as it did on the first tester I tried over a year ago. I'm not good at describing scents, but this is a light scent, lots of top notes and I would suggest, quite fresh and floral?
The scent lasts quite well on my skin, still able to smell it a good couple of hours after application.
This is a good everyday perfume, suitable for work as it leaves a lovely soft feminine smell without being overpowering other people in the office.
