Estee Lauder Modern Muse Review

I have a huge bottle of this as a birthday present - the bottle itself is lovely and the fragrance is great, not too strong but lasts the whole day.

I love the bottles of the Modern Muse perfumes, the bow makes it looks effortlessly classy and the rounded rectangular shape makes it easy to tell how much there is left. I thought this would be similar to the modern muse rouge, but it's actually nothing like it!

This smells very flowery with a hint of sweetness. It's definitely a more mature, compsed floral perfume. There isn't much 'freshness' to this, and can be overpowering to some people so it's more suited to the warmer months or night time. The closest perfume to this in my collection is Couture by Juicy couture. A quick google search showed both had jasmine and honeysuckle! This is extremely long lasting, and I can catch whiffs of soft flowers hours later. I love spraying this on scarves during winter, because even days later it lingers on the scarf.

Highly recommend this for people wanting to find a warm, slightly sweet floral. This is for a slightly more mature audience, and may be a tiny bit cloying in summer. Only thing stopping it getting full marks is holy moly the full sized ones are expensive!

I received the Estee Lauder Modern Muse fragrance second hand from my mum, and it's definitely a lovely perfume! Gorgeous, elegant packaging, and a classy, sophisticated scent. Lasts well on the skin throughout the day. It was a little bit too sweet for me, but that's just a personal taste thing and doesn't reflect on the actual product.

This has quickly become my new favourite scent! First of all, the packaging is very elegant - so much so that I thought the scent might smell a little too mature for me! It doesn't! It's not a deep oaky scent at all (which I personally don't like) - It's citrusy and florally without being bubblegum poppy! This scent is my new everyday and I think really strikes the balance as a delicious smelling work-suitable perfume!

I'm in love with this scent but not it's price.

Coming in an iconic bottle that depicts in my eyes sophistication :) a class of its own being it's Estee Lauder the lid is bow that slims down a sleek bottle with pink liquid inside well there's the delicate female appearance but the lid expresses confidence.

The scent has sweet notes with musk & floral. I adore the scent l. From the first whiff of it to the end of the day getting the aroma of what's left on me. It expresses confidence & gives me confidence. Modern Muse I adore it.

I got given a bottle of this after I raved about the Modern Muse Chic. The design of the bottle reminds me of a large bow tie and it's great to hold too. The opening fragrance is a bit of a citrus fragrance that warms into soft jasmine whispers and settles with a hint of amber. Sadly the fragrance faded on me pretty quickly. This is a nice perfume that is going to be lovely to wear as the weather warms up.

I love this perfume but to be frank I don't think it's anything new that people haven't come across already but this is the version of what "everyone else has" that I prefer. It's not mind blowing but there's something delicate about this perfume. It reminds me of a breath of fresh air in the morning; a lovely breeze on a summer's day (when Auckland's weather wants to play ball), a refreshing mojito on the beach, a nice walk on a cool winter night - oh yes it works wonders for me!

It comes in a pastel pink box with the outline of the perfume bottle which I think is quite cute. It's in a tall glass bottle where the "ribbon" is actually the spray which is quite clever. Note this perfume does not have a lid so it took me awhile to get used to it because I feel perfumes that aren't closed tend to lose their scent faster but clearly they would have thought of that.

When you first spray it there's this burst of citrus so it's very surprising when you finally get the gorgeous blend of jasmine and amber which are brought together with notes of musk. One of the things I love about this perfume is how well it blends into winter and summer. It can be categorised as being a warm scent because it blends so nicely on a chilly night yet come summer time you can categorise it as cold scent because of the crisp burst of life it gives you.

For an EDP I expect some decent lasting power but the scent seems to fade faster than I would like. I can still detect it after 5 hours but not as prominent as I like my perfumes to be. Clearly however that hasn't stopped me from repurchasing because there are some perfumes that work magic behind the scene. This happens to be one of the perfumes that people compliment me on yet I can't even smell it on me by that time.

I would say this is more of a nice-to-have as opposed to a must-have. That being said, I've repurchased this after receiving it as a gift and still quite happy to repurchase from Life Pharmacy. I would recommend it but just be mindful that the name "Modern" doesn't mean it's 'new' or 'current' - you've had this before just a different version and different brand.
