Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue EDT Review

Light Blue is a great daytime and summer perfume only in my opinion. Not really a winter perfume or a date night perfume :)

It's a pleasant citrus scent perfect for hot summer days, its bright and fresh, crisp and cool! It's well blended and extremely wearable by most.

Definitely down to preference though as this perfume does have mixed reviews! I personally like it and feel like it lasts a few hours on my skin, it definitely comes across as having an "apple scent" on my skin.

It seems to be quite a popular scent, one of the perfumes I have in my wardrobe but not my favourite :) - a casual perfume I just throw on during summer when im rushing out the door.

I received this as a gift several years ago from my boyfriend, and it still smells the same. It is slightly astringent smelling. However it is also a clean and almost citrusy scent. It doesn't last as well as some perfumes I have. I would say it lasts about two hours. It's really light once it calms down. I probably would not buy the scent, myself, but it's nostalgic because it's one of the first perfumes he ever bought me. So, Id probably purchase again only on that fact. It's not really for me but if you like really clean scents, you would probably like it. It kind of has an alcohol smell to it though and it is a bit masculine. Guys seem to like it on me.

I love this perfume, have used it for years. It's true to it's fruity-floral description, so fresh, uplifting and delicious. I have had countless positive comments on wearing this scent, which has lead to friends buying it for them selves :)

I admit this perfume really knows how to lure people in (myself incuded) but I eventually had to pass it on. It can be a refreshing scent (particularly on a crisp cold morning) however there is this underlying creamy sweet note that just makes me a tad nauseated.

I love that the packaging reflects the name of the perfume and somewhat the fragrance. It's in a frosted tall rectangular bottle with a light blue lid. I tend to associate the colour blue with refreshing aquatic scents like Davidoff Cool Water or Giorgio Armani Acqua Di Gioia but Light Blue is more of a creamy blend of fruits and floral.

Upon your first spritz I'm led to believe it's refreshing but then it just leaves me smelling like a creamy sweet musk - and to be honest it's really lovely but I just can't stand it. The staying power is great, the scent just lingers on your clothes right through to the next day.

This may sound strange but I feel this is one of those perfumes that smells the same on almost anyone. Some perfumes like Versace Bright Crystal or YSL Opium smell amazing on people but as soon as I wear it, it just smells flat so I guess I don't have the right chemistry to make it work for me. Yet for Light Blue,I haven't come across a person where it doesn't smell different.

This is not the perfume for me and to be honest I personally would recommend other perfumes before this one. It's not a bad perfume at all but if you're after a refreshing hit this wouldn't be my first pick.

This is my favourite perfume, I was gifted this for Christmas and It only lasted me the summer (I used this so much) I have gone through this perfume like none before. The smell is AMAZING, so fresh and clean and citrusy. I will recommend anyone to give this a go. I always get compliments wearing this.

When I bought my first bottle of this I was absolutely in love. The scent is light and fresh, and a distinctive smell. I like that whenever you have it on it's hard to get the scent mixed up with anything else that's out there,

This is a fabulous everyday perfume just to throw on and run errands or just go about your day, this will forever be one of me favourite perfumes

I received this about 10 years ago while abroad and instantly fell in love with it. While it isn't my number one favourite I'd say it was my number 2 fav! The box feel alittle like suede and is blue and the bottle is pretty normal in terms of fragrance packaging. I do fine though that this scent doens't stay on me all day so alittle trick i like to do with most of my fragrances is spray alittle in my hair (just the tips of my hair) and it last all day

Out of all the fragrances I own, the most easy to wear are Viva la Juicy, Hippy Fizz and this, Light Blue. I'm not terribly fond of it but it is one of my go to fragrances when I do not have to make a huge statement with a perfume or feel need to blend in and thus I somehow end up using this very frequently since I often go to university.

This was a total impulse buy. I barely smelt it but the fact that it had a blue lid drew me in right away.

The scent is very focussed on a spicy, woody lemon which almost overpowers every other note in a way similar to the way Diorissimo has an extremely dominant lily of the valley note. It is very crisp and clean and as the name suggests, light and well suited for late spring to early autumn.

While the sillage is very good, I found the longevity disappointing and often carry a 5ml decant of it with me in my bag.

While the packaging leaves much to be desired, I am a total sucker for glass with particular textures such as matte or frosted which did influence this buy somewhat.

I got my 25ml for $45 which was a little pricey but overall if your fragrance options are limited it is a good choice. Personally for me it's a little too maintream which makes it lose the uniqueness but it's so easy to wear everyday that it's not a huge deal breaker.
