Such an incredible scent. Use to wear this as my signature until one of my closest friends started wearing it all the time as her signature scent. I absolutely adore the deep and complex fragrance even though I don't wear it as often any more. In my opinion it is not a girly fragrance but rather an elegant classic. There is an unmistakable floral essence but not in a granny rose kind of way but rather a beautiful scented garden on a summers eve. It wears incredibly well and even though it's quite powerful it is not overwhelming on those hotter summer days where some perfume gets right up your nose. Very easy to wear and whether on yourself or someone else is always a pleasure to smell!

ISSEY MIYAKE L'Eau d'Issey, a fragrance that is what it says, Issey Miyake chose water, an essential element and source of purity, freshness and vitalty as the inspiration for his first fragrance L'eau D'Issey.
An olfactory revolution when it was first launched in 1992, it has become one of the great classics in the world of perfumery.
The olfactory signature of L’Eau d’Issey Lotus, Rose, Lily and Precious Woods. An aquatic floral with a woody trail.

Tips: Don't buy your bestie a bottle of your fave scent no matter how much you love her!
I have had the great joy of purchasing this whilst travelling through duty free, Its subtle notes leaves a fresh all over scent that certainly turns heads! several variances of this perfume make it a stand out pleaser, meaning its perfect for both night and day functions, without overpowering the nose. Its bottle sizes make a great travel perfume, and its sleek design makes it a beautiful addition to any counter. as further mentioned its scent is uplifting, woody and fresh. its price certainly reflects quality in this product,
Tips: carry a smaller travel size for additional refreshing, or spray some into a roll on travel container.
I find this perfume to be fresh with a strong floral undertone. A good clean fragrance but not a sultry one. Didn't seem to last on me even though it was an EDP.
Tips: Keep one in the handbag for refreshing.
This was my first perfume as a teen and I fell in love with it's sweet fresh scent. It is the only fragrant of the Issey Miyake range that i will purchase as the others are a bit strong. This fragrance lasts for hours! One spray goes a long way with this product, which is excellent because you will not run out fast. The sweet but fresh scent is excellent for special occasions, clubbing or other events. I loved my first bottle that i wore it every day and everywhere, then second bottle I learned that it was perfect on occasions and clubbing.
Tips: One to two sprays is all you need
One day I took a chance of purchasing this fragrance as I loved the initial smell of it as it reminded me of that "just stepping out a shower" smell. Normally I do not buy EDT but this one had a clean, floral undertone to the smell. Not long after using for the first few times I kicked myself for breaking my golden rule of only buying EDP, if this was a EDP it would have been more suitable. I could not tell or smell the fragrance after it had "calmed" due to the fact it was gone. Normally with fragrances you can still smell either hints or subtle tones but with this I could not. Initially it was a lovely fragrance but I would not buy again, unfortunate though as it is a lovely smell - just doesn't last long.
Tips: Really good for a spritzer or touch up
I got this perfume in a sample set from Farmers, variations of which they do every year around Christmas. The set comes with 10 sample sized perfumes and a voucher to redeem for one of the perfumes in a full size (usually 30ml). I bought this to get out of my comfort zone somewhat with perfume as I rotate between two favourites, one of which was included in the set. I have in the past been pleasantly surprised by perfumes when I have put looks aside (I always judge a perfume by the bottle, bad I know), so I set about testing each sample.
Each sample is from 0.8 -1.0 ml, which I found enough for about a week of wear. I’m quite picky about what I do and don’t like, and first impressions are important for a perfume!
Unfortunately I am not a fan of this scent. While not unpleasant, it reminds me of a body spray like Impulse, which is not what I look for when purchasing a luxury fragrance. It was not sickly sweet, just quite fresh smelling and I prefer a more statement scent. It was subtle, clean and astringent but somehow still a little cloying. I don't get floral from this but I do get aqautic - it smells clean and fresh but not sophisticated or sexy enough for me to buy a full size. I'd liken it to the smell of clean sheets - which I am not a fan of.
I bought a bottle of this years ago, both one for myself and for a friend.
I would describe the scent of this as clean and fresh. Lasting power for myself was not the best, I'm not a great fan of the packaging at all either.
All in all the scent is very pleasant for day to day use, would recommend to anybody out there that enjoys fresh, and crisp smelling perfumes.
I love the issey Miyake perfumes. I have two now and find them very refreshing in smell. I was very fortunate to receive one of mine as a gift and have only 1/4 left. I have had mine for over 5 years and feel the smells last for hours. They are quite pricey for perfumes and would not buy them if they were not on special (who doesn't like a good bargain). I find the lasting powers to not be as long as my other perfumes as they are eau de toilettes and not eau de parfum's. I
A little goes a long way with this fragrance, it is long lasting with a decent amount of sillage. So I would recommend sampling it first on your skin. I find it wonderfully fresh, ozonic and quite mineral at the beginning and then dries down to a fresh floral (freesias and lilies) and then at the end, some sandalwood. As with most people, each perfume evokes certain memories and this one is no different. As a teenager, this was my first 'grown up' scent - while everyone else was dousing themselves in CKOne, I was falling in love with Issey Miyake and his aesthetic. Years later, L'eau d'Issey (100mL) is always a definite repurchase for me.
My most favourite of all time....up until now that is.
This is the fragrance I wore as a bride, I have short dark hair and wore very copper toned makeup so this fragrance complimented that. I feel like describing it as beautiful white gold with diamonds. Very fitting for that look.
My bottle is textured glass which you still see through but is hazy. Silver top....on a side note for this bottle, make sure the bottle remains upright, a bottle I had in the past did leak at top. I can't undo the top one the bottle I have a the moment, perhaps that issue is fixed.
Described as lotus, rose, lilly, precious woods with woody under tones. For me I wouldnt describe it as that, seems more refined with delicate tones of Japanese oriental and floral combined.
It is the most substantial, dramatic, refined, unique and long lasting fragrance out of the 4 IM fragrances I have (Floral, Absolue & Nectar).
Potentially a little risky to give as a gift, it is a either Love or Not Love smell. Saying that any recipient would be so happy to receive as a gift, it says something like - you are worth something special and it's pretty good value IMO. Get a exchange card. Ideal for anyone who likes what they like, has a great sense of style and is open to the world.
I am always going to give this one a 5/5 & don't enjoy wearing this one as much as I would like to, it's a statement fragrance and I tend to keep for evening out or whenever I am dressed up a little, bit like those great heels that come for those events that a little more special.
Suit spring, summer or autumn. I don't really wear in winter, that's more about wearing my Black Opium or Narciso Rodriguez for Her.
Tips: Spray little on hair once styled.
