If you are a fan of those other deep muscle rubs/creams but not so much for the strong odour they give off then you so need this Badger Balm!!
Being made of natural wax scented with oils I found that it was wonderfully fragranced, but not strong enough to put the hubby off when he got a pulled muscle in his elbow, I had been using on my shoulders for weeks its perfect for unkinking them bound up knots!! I love this so much I have the large tin at home and the small tin in my handbag. Its not a heat producing balm its very subtle at easing the pain, it just gradually ebbs away like magic.
The wax is hard set so you do need to warm your hands up to get this moving at its best, I've actually started holding my hand over a candle (from a height mind you...safety first people!!) to get hot hands to make the wax liquid to help spread further, almost sent me to sleep!!
Design wise the balm comes in a pretty little tin which has easy use lid which comes off and on with ease even with slick hands from massaging.
I'm so glad I bought this!! My partner and I both love it. He's a butcher so he's always on his feet, doing heavy lifting and what not and with previous injuries he's always in pain but since trying this balm, it's given him a bit of relief and now he uses it all the time. I genuinely believe this has helped both of us. It's almost like a gentle version of deep heat in the sense that it doesn't burn like deep heat does, instead it's just a subtle warming soothing sensation on your skin which takes your mind off your aches. It's non greasy yet it's the right formula for you to massage into your skin without having to use more product.
Tips: The product itself is pretty hard so what I like to do is use one finger to gently rub into the balm (only a small area) in circular motions to help warm the wax up so it's easier for you scoop out.
