This stuff is brilliant! I had a migrane bout recently which is an entirely different matter, but following that I had niggly headaches for a week, so I used this, and I didn't even need to take anything extra at all, this just soothed the niggles away. I also have this in the little tin. I was a little concerned that the greasy consistency would break me out, but that hasn't been the case at all. The base is made up of olive oil, castor oil & beeswax, so its slightly greasy feeling but its not gross, as you only need a very small amount, and the smell is really wonderful and genuine. Its also gentle enough to use on the kids, as I really don't like using pamol all the time. Its all natural, and contains certified organic ingredients, which definitely ticks all my boxes :) Most certainly a home staple for me!

Tips: You only need to swipe your finger over the top and massage into your temples, one little tin will last for ages!!
This has got to be the best alternative remedy to headaches I have found yet.
iherb sell both the stick and tin version, I have the tin, well ok I have 2 of the tins, one stays at home and the other stays in my handbag so I have it whenever I need.
Twisting off the tin lid is very easy, inside the yellow wax releases its fragrances immediately hitting you nose. Rubbing at it then applying to your temples, wrists and neckline you then need to sit still for a few minutes and close your eyes breathing in the aroma. The lavender is definitely the leading note on this one, the peppermint seems to cool down the ache. It dulls the headache down quickly and you soon realise its ebbed away without the need for painkillers.
Even though I don't have oily skin this balm didn't make it any oiler, but I'd probably go easy if you are prone to oily skin, alternatively I popped a fingertip of this in the top of an oil burner and lit it, yum!! it filled the room up which was very beneficial when I was in bed last week with an awful cold, helped shift the achy head really fast.
This stuff is incredible! I've always been a bit iffy on panadol and reluctant to take it unless I absolutely have to do things that require me to be a little more chipper than a bear woken midwinter. This stuff actually works. Granted it's not going to cure a full on migraine, but for your normal run of the mill headache this is definitely my go-to (alongside a giant glass of water).
I apply it to my temples and to the pressure points on the back of my neck beneath the hairline about half an inch either side of centre (google to reflexology points for headache for precise locations of this and others that you can use the product on). I think a part of why it works is just taking the time to refocus and have a little self massage session, but hey if it works it works.
The smell is incredible, gorgeous Lavender and Peppermint. Sometimes I find just sniffing the balm can stave off a headache when it's threatening to come on.
The one possible drawback I can think of is that it is greasy and thick and it may muss with your makeup when applied to the temples. Small price to pay though really.
Speaking of price, I think it's priced really modestly and a little goes a long way.
Tips: This was my go to product during pregnancy, I recommend it to all preggos suffering those awful second trimester headaches. I know they say panadol is safe but I still would rather avoid it if possible while pregnant especially. If I can handle a natural childbirth I will not let a headache defeat me hehe
Yet again great packaging. cute tin!
The balm is very solid and has a yellowish tint to it.
Once in your fingers it softens up with the warmth of your body temperature and goes to more of an oily consistency.
There is a cooling feeling from the peppermint in the balm, but it is very subtle.
Has calming scent of peppermint and lavender, scent gives a calming and relaxing feeling. When I use the balm, I usually massage it on my temples, neck and forehead, and rub a little under my nose to get a good whiff of it. The balm doesn’t make my headache disappear but it does help to calm and sooth and leave you feeling good
I really like the balm because the soothing scent of peppermint and lavender does help relieve some of my headache. I would not say that this really cures headaches but definitely is soothing for headaches.
I suffer from migraines alot but have found this balm doesn't help at all with these
Headache or not I like the smell . It does help. I get migraines and this really helps ;) I'm not sure how but I'm.not bothered. If it works it works!!
I love this product so much. I have this in the tin and its amazing. Okay, so let me start off by saying its not going to get rid of your headache. Why do I like it then if it doesn't get rid of headaches? Well I love it because it really does soothe a headache. I've been getting lots of headaches lately and I've really struggled to get rid of them with just pain relief alone. I rub this on my temples and forehead and massage it for about a minute and it definitely does take away some of the pressure and tension. Its easy to apply and the peppermint and lavender really do soothe my head. and make me feel more relaxed.
Tips: If you're looking for something to really relax and soothe you, then this product will do it, if you're looking for a product that completely gets rid of a headache, then this may not be the product for you.
