Clinique Aromatics Elixir Perfume Spray Review

Back in the 90's this used to arrive in what seemed all the Clinique bonus times, and has been available since the 70's. A perfume doesn't last if it's not good.

I did used to wear this all the time as it was my only perfume but eventually I realized this is not a perfume for me. I find it heavy, potent rather than light, a bit of citrus and heavy floral with an undertone of sandlewood. The smell seems to stick around for a good 6 plus hours for me and it does fade off but the scent remains the same to my nose. There is a slight softening in the scent once it has been on your skin a while but it still doesn't appeal to me once this has happened. It does have jasmine and tuberose in it and this would be possibly the main reasons as I am not fond of most jasmine perfumes and use tuberose ones rarely as well.

Get a test spray first before purchase and don't go heavy handed on the spraying as one or two sprays is enough. The amount you use on spraying makes this value for money but it is a pricey scent. If you are into some of the older classic scents, then give this a whirl.

I used to use this fragrance a few years back, with all new fragrances on the market over time I have tried and tested so many others. A month ago I just felt I had to treat myself again and I say treat as it is not your average priced fragrance. O boy I love this!! Just as I remember it even tho I am now living in NZ which normally I find different fragrances react and smell different at times to how I know them. I absolutely love this fragrance. Classy, oft and feminine. While soft and delicate it lasts all day. I have the body smoother as well and find even if I only use the smoother it will still linger enough without the fragrance at times... Definitely recommend!!

It’s one of the very first perfumes I’ve ever owned. Even though Clinique has released different versions of it, I think this classic elixir is still the best of them. I like that it doesn’t smell like a generic perfume and I always turn my head to search for the person wearing it every time I smell it.

It can smell a bit heady if you’re not used to it. Needs certain kind of attitude/personality to be able to wear this perfume instead of letting it wear you.

The unique scent lasts a long time, so don’t be heavy handed when spraying this.

Very unique perfume, very attractive smell that gets you loads of compliments and very soft on the skin. The fragrance lasts really really long!!!
