"Creating feelings of delight, warmth and frivolity – Born in Paradise transports you to the tropical haven of French Polynesia, evoking visions of bright and beautiful flowers, glistening beaches, clear turquoise waters and delectably delicious tropical fruits. Inspired by the famous Pina Colada cocktail, the ESCADA Born in Paradiseperfume delivers an enchanting blend of pineapple and coconut milk, shaken with the aqueous and acidulous notes of watermelon, green apple and guava and enhanced with woody, musky and creamlike undertones. Exuberant in character, the fragrance instantly releases tantalisingly mouth-watering fruity scents and an infectious carefree feeling often inspired by tropical escapes – making it the prefect summer fragrance to transport you to paradise." Oh my word this is one of the nicest perfumes I've smelt in a while.
If you're looking for a fresh, crisp scent that is the epitome of summer, and herbal essences shampoos look no further. The perfume gives me such a nostalgic feeling. Sitting by the pool, eating ice blocks. Uhh perfection.
A lot of you who have used cool charm body sprays, may be familiar with one particular spray that smelt like watermelon? It was lovely, but kind of really fake smelling also. This is like the perfume version of that, but with a genuine, real, non-cheapo smelling watermelon. It also smells like Herbal Essences shampoos, which are also to die for.
It's a very young and tropical scent. It smells like a mojito mixed with watermelon juice. The top notes are coconut, pineapple and watermelon, but you mostly smell the watermelon, and then the pineapple, the coconut, however is hardly pronounced. I can barely smell it.
It's a light perfume, but with heavy fragrance. If that makes sense. It's sweet, without being too overly sweet, which is perfect because I usually get head aches when summer sweat and strong perfumes are mixed together.
It doesn't last too long on the skin though, say maybe 3 - 4 hours. I expected more from Escada but the scent is so gorgeous, I don't even care.
It has a beautiful bottle, which I like, but it could be better. It's simple, elegant, with perfect turquoise blue and greens too match. Depending on which size you get, the larger ones come with a pink/ red flower ribbon. Personally, I feel it makes it a little tacky looking, but then again, the bottle is too simple without it.
I do recommend this for summer, and probably only for Summer. You'd be a fish out of water if you wore it any other time of year. I also recommend it for a younger age group, it's not exactly a sophisticated, mature scent to it.
They are limited edition, and I don't know how long they are going to last, so get one quick and save it for the upcoming summer season.
