I'm not the kind of person who stops people in the street to ask where they got that dress! But as soon as I caught the sent of Issey Miyake I knew it had to be in my life, so I asked. This was quite a number of years ago and I still have to have a bottle in my cupboard, my favourite even though I buy other perfumes occasionally, it's nice to surprise people, they don't know it's me coming by my perfume.

Issey Miyake L'Eau d'Issey Review
ISSEY MIYAKE L'Eau d'Issey, a fragrance that is what it says, Issey Miyake chose water, an essential element and source of purity, freshness and vitalty as the inspiration for his first fragrance L'eau D'Issey.
An olfactory revolution when it was first launched in 1992, it has become one of the great classics in the world of perfumery.
The olfactory signature of L’Eau d’Issey Lotus, Rose, Lily and Precious Woods. An aquatic floral with a woody trail.
Reviews
Tips: I know the light floral scent is not for everybody so of course wouldn't recommend it to everyone. It does last the day without changing or getting oppressive.
A little goes a long way with this fragrance, it is long lasting with a decent amount of sillage. So I would recommend sampling it first on your skin. I find it wonderfully fresh, ozonic and quite mineral at the beginning and then dries down to a fresh floral (freesias and lilies) and then at the end, some sandalwood. As with most people, each perfume evokes certain memories and this one is no different. As a teenager, this was my first 'grown up' scent - while everyone else was dousing themselves in CKOne, I was falling in love with Issey Miyake and his aesthetic. Years later, L'eau d'Issey (100mL) is always a definite repurchase for me.
This is my favourite fragrance ever.
So fresh, so delicious - if someone walks past me wearing it I want to sniff them.
I own the Eau de Toilette and adore the way it holds a floral scent, yet has that wonderful oceanesque feel to it. Yum.
The packaging is super-sophisticated and looks fabulous in my beauty cubby (which is in a dark/light-free spot so as not to effect my perfumes)
This is the perfume I squirt on days when I feel the need for a pick-me-up, although due to the price I don't like to wear it every day.
This is such fresh, clean scent. I own two different versions of this:
- the EDP and -the limited edition, 'Une Goutte Sur Un Petale, A Drop On A Petal'
Amazing lasting power for the EDP, though not so much the EDT ltd edition.
EDP: this is a well blended mix of spring flowers with aquatic notes. It is quite strong in terms of silliage and longevity so would suit a night out
Limited edition: This is lighter than the EDP and less floral. It is also more fresh as a result of the citrus notes. There is a slight hint of musk though it's not particularly dominant. It smells slightly less natural than the EDP. This is more appropriate for day time wear.
The bottles for both reflect the scent inside: minimalist; modern and clean
Tips: This has many flankers which all sound appealing. Best to try to find the one that is most "you"
This is a heavenly scent - fresh, light yet sensual and soft. Always use the EDP - if leaves a wonderful lingering scent that softens as the day goes on. A lot of scents smell like cut grass on me after an hour or so, especially if they are crisp or citrusy. This one does not react that way with me - it mellows into my skin and makes me feel feminine and sexy. You can't go wrong with this one if it suits your skin chemistry.
This is one of those fragrances that really lifts you. It's light and fresh and whenever I wear it I feel like I could just close my eyes and float along on the smell. Surprisingly it lasts all day despite not being strong or heady.
Tips: Light enough to use as an everyday fragrance but delicious enough to be a 'treat' too. A good fragrance to use as a gift.
I picked this up on a whim while coming through duty free a few months ago. I'd never heard the brand and after 45 minutes of olfactory overload of 'testers' I settled on this. I have to stop myself from using it every day because I'm speeding through the bottle. It has really grown on me. It's on the steeper side of my budget at $145 for 75ml but it's such a great fragrance I wouldn't hesitate to get it again. I can't smell it on myself once I put it on so I can't be sure of it's staying power. Given this I think it would be hard to put too much of this scent on because it's so lovely and light.
Thanks to all the great reviews from our BR women I decided to purchase a bottle. So beautiful absolutely gorgeous fragrance. It does not over power and also stays on for a long time.I'll defiantly be leaving this for special occasions. Devine Devine Devine:-) Thanks ladies
Tips: Cherish every drop
I have been using this perfume for many years and it's still my favorite. It smells fresh, long lasting and is not over powering. It's a bit expensive for my pocket so I normally use it for special occasions, but it can be use for any time of the day or the year.
A 'go to' fragrance for me. I never tire of wearing it. I love the fresh watery floral notes that give a burst of energy to my day. I would recommend if you enjoy woody but fresh florals. I would compare it to ck Eternity. To me it is a summer evening fragrance. The fresh and watery florals combine with spicy wood notes for warmth and depth. Right now I am wearing it as my autumnal daytime elixir. Would recommend. The version for men is also devine!
