Gaultier Classique Intense reminds me of Gaultier 2 to some extent.
They aren't particularly similar in terms of the actual notes, though they invoke the same feelings and are designed for similar climates.
Both are 'winter' scents. They have a boozy, intense, heavy quality that makes them ideal for colder climates.
Classique intense reminds me of rich dessert such as fruit pudding with warmed brandy.
That's not to say it is overly cloying or that it jumps on to the fruitchoulli bandwagon like a lot of recent releases.
There are hints of vanilla and a sweet quality to it though.
This scent is a lovely spin on the original Classique. While hints of the original scent can still be detected, I found it to be a bit sweeter and a bit less musky and as much as I love the original, I think I prefer this. At first, the scent is quite strong so only a small spray is required, but I did however find that as the night went on, it wore off whereas the original has quite good staying power. Luckily I had the mini version so I was able to reapply regularly, however at the price I was a bit hesitant. The signature silhouette bottle has had an awesome gold revamp which is very cool.
Tips: Buy the mini version first to see how long it will last on your skin
