Lancome Hypnose Review

This perfume reminds me of Vanilla Fields but much softer and more elegant so you know it's high end. Now I'm not a fan of vanilla and I hated Vanilla Fields so you can imagine the little love I have for this scent. The 30ml EDP was a gift so I really wanted to make the effort to use it up and use it up quick.

For me personally I love the box more than the glass bottle. It's a gorgeous shade of blue indigo which reminds me of By Terry's packaging. The twisted glass bottle looks tacky to me; it's something I would expect to find a cheap perfume in to be honest. The only thing I like visually about is that you can see the light lilac fluid.

I want to make it clear that this is not a bad perfume I just find the vanilla a bit too much for me. The sillage and longevity is amazing and I found this out the hard way. I wanted to smell the nozzle while it was still wet from spritzing. Stupid move, I bumped my nose against the nozzle and all I could smell was vanilla for the rest of the day.

I find that this is perfect for an evening out because it has a real warmth to it that in the evening air can really smell amazing (even with the ghastly vanilla). Unfortunately I couldn't finish it so passed t on to a friend who loves it so as you would expect I won't be buying this for myself. If you love vanilla however this is one to test at your local Farmers before purchase.

Was gifted a deluxe sample from my sister. The twisted glass bottle is unique and fancy looking. I have been wearing this everyday for just over a week. The smell reminds me of a strong, professional, confident woman. It's a nice perfume but not my vibe. Will be finishing it up, will not be purchasing in full size.

UPDATE: Have finished this up and the scent has grown on me. Would consider repurchasing this.

I think if you enjoy Taylor swift incredible things you would like this. I wouldn't describe as a gourmand but there is some sweetness I bought when there was a sale on and I really liked it. After this one I sort of got really into fragrances and sweeter vanilla ones. I over sprayed this one and after a while I think I got to used to it and could not smell it anymore. I hear it has been reformulated and used to be alot more intense I think vanilla in fragrances smell very different and this is one of them actually in the description above I'm not sure those notes are the same as previous formulas it's definitely got a floral elements to it too. Whenever I see orchid note in fragrances I don't know what to expect as there are so many different types. This is a beautiful sensual fragrance but the sweetness and sensual is not gourmand I don't think it's floral not sweet enough to seem gourmand. If you get an older bottle, silliage and projection will be much more intense

this is my fav perfume - smells devine! i bought it for a "special, going out" perfume but got so many comments and became so addicted to how gorgeous it smells i wear everyday now!!!!! unfortunate as its quite pricey but still the best

I always like to have a rich full body fragrance in winter and a lighter more delicate fragrance for summer.

Hypnose EDP has been my go to winter fragrance for awhile now I always get complimented on how great it smells when I wear it which is a good sign the scent matches me. The vanilla orchid is definitely the note that stands out if you layer it with the shower gel and body lotion for a night out the fragrance lasts and lasts so no over use on thinking its worn off.
